Let's be perfectly clear and honest here though. Everytime, in the past, when we engaged Satan/dhb they were in a nonconventional bizarre fleet. I am of the same attitude though that you must throw isk into your pvp ships inorder to solo simply because most eve players won't solo anymore. Knowing that you will be outnumbered usually fairly heavy. In the last 3 years or so I think I've seen maybe 20 true solo roamers. Before that I could go to low sec and see it heavily. Having said all that I do agree that wildcat does what he needs to to get the fights. I also believe he is fully aware and was fully aware that he was going to fight outnumbered in that fight. He has fought like that before it just sounds like something went wrong. You do know the other side of that gate is still a .3 system, right? As for deaggroing, you could always have one or two people who are set up to hold something fitted like a nightmare in lowsec waiting on the other side for him. You know, just in case. Confirming that efficiency is literally 100% of what is important in eve. And trust me, I know how he fits his falcon and it would pose very little threat to your tempest.

Be it because of numbers, "tactics", or great ships and/or fittings; and I'm sure some of them like to boast about their victory. For whatever reason they might even have posted 'gf' in local. But it really takes a special type of individual to bring it to the forums; calling goodfight and placing it under the scrutiny of C&P. In my eyes it's a simple gank. And the credit falls on DHB for having the macros to finance the ego of not only himself but also his enemies. ;)

We all know statistics provide an unbiased measure of a player's skills, right? so after that long rant about adapt or die, your best first hand knowledge of dhbs piloting style comes from false assumptions which ended in you running away from him (despite you thinking you could take him 1 v 1 - which i would be glad to tell you theres no chance in hell you could have). also in claiming that you have "two options with how to deal with it" you reveal lack of thought on the part of your argument and more importantly your game play. you missed about another million options the crucial one which i have already outlined in this thread. being - knowing something is ****ed, stating it then taking it seriously/into account. so again i have to say: just because there are people out there who know that there are broken things in this game, ie jams, jam drones, jump bridges, stealth bombers, sig tank, certain faction cruisers, the alliance tourney format, local chat. because we see these as problems and complain about them, does not make us ignorant or worse. in fact i would argue it shows we have a better understanding of this game. only a sith deals in absolutes... well a sith or a moron. . This was an awesome fight, the most fun I had had since I lost my Nightmare in Ihakana. It was much closer than the killboard may state. So GF! as was shared in local. So recap anyone? Then we can all smack each other 8P. BTW the op I take as a gf post and thank you for it, as I return your feelings on it. So here we go.... Gang composition 2x Basilisks 1x Falcon 1x Machariel 1x Navy Mega 1x Vindicator 1x Nightmare 1x Sleipner 1x Rapier So what happened. A nuetral scout not in gang reports a small enemy fleet in IPAY. 1 jump past P3E into 0.0. I rush over as fast as I can to get them aggroed and a fun fight commences. IPAY fight This gang leaves, and I begin my looting adventures. At this time my girlfriend comes in and tells me about her day. This last 15 minutes. When I return I find that Love Kebab, and Half of my gang has left. They are now in Obe heading to Hakonen. My scout sees 2 dictors on the IPAY gate in P3E. I call my guys back. I think Im about to get DD again, but ** it I loves fights. To my pleasure I jump in and the dictors warp to the gate. I am now bubbled off the gate and shooting at the dictors... I think if I can pop them before a cyno goes up Im golden. To my suurprise and pleasure local goes up to 40. They are coming in via the jumpbridge. I start yelling at my guys now. "Get back here lets roll!" Gang at this moment is my falcon, Nightmare, and Institutes duel accounting basilisks. First ship to land is an onieros... I laugh, bye bye onieros. Now down one of their logistic ships, I work on the next onieros and make it warp. Next a couple of ships land and my eyes fix on their ecm. 1 Falcon and 2 Blackbirds. They are now my primaries for both my Nightmare and Falcon. My falcon loses the jam war and quickly his ship as well. At this time Hey You's Rapier, and hundurinn's sleipner land and begin to work on their ecm. Gang compostion... 1x Nightmare 1x Falcon (dead) 2x Basilisks 1x Rapier 1x Sleipner (the Mach, Navy Mega, and Vindi never come back) Through this time damage is split between my Nightmare and one of Institute's basilisks. He does everything he can to keep both ships alive. One Bassy goes down and the other is forced to leave. All the while Im still trying to LK to come back in his 1400 mach to pop some of these thoraxes. I begin overheating my tanking mods, but they are just breaking my tank. Its close but eventually Ill go down if I dont take out just a couple more thoraxes / Brutix. Im getting close to even on the boost / damage taken to even it out. I begin to hit armor... Jammed.... damn it was so close. Liturally one or two more ships and the tide would have turned. P3E fight Down I go, I call the rest of my gang out and luckily my pod lives again! So much fun. I would and will do it again! This is what the game is for. Even fun fights. I guess for now its back to plexes and high sec suicide ganking until another is made 8p. As to the comments about the isk lost, for some of us it doesn't matter. We want the fight, win or loose we don't care so long as its fun, and equally wont resort to cheap tactics to avoid a loss if it goes bad. We make the isk to fly the way we do to you a a ded fit mare may cost a fortune, for us its an excuse to enjoy our hard gotten gains. At some point DHB, VOLTRON and BYDI should get a organised fight going, should be a real pleasure. To live is to die, and to die is to give life. Thus pain is a form of euphoria.
