I know i'm probably being dim but, i've just started using a second display to use battle clinic etc when having eve on my main screen
My problem is, as soon as i touch the second screen eve minimizes in my main screen.
I've not used 2 screens before and i wonder if anyone could tell me what i'm doing wrong here?
thanks in advance.

I use two screens and it simply changes focus, not minimises, (and refreshes which makes it unusable for general play on a regular basis) so someone should be able to point out the problem. I think running EVE in windowed mode is common to avoid these issues, maybe try that. The settings are via the escape key menu.
EVE does not directly support dual screen by the way.

Also, if you use EVEmon, it has a "relocation" option that allows reposition the windowed client to look like it's full screen (but without the annoying minimization if you click off it).
This means you can run EVE at your usual full screen res without having the window borders pushing part of your game screen off the monitor.

Yes, I strongly agree with this option. It's the only reason I installed EVE Mon (although I know it has a few other features I hear).
I had the same problem as OP on a dual display. It would minimize when I clicked on something outside EVE. I just run EVEmon first and then EVE. Once the EVE login screen is up, I switch over to EVEmon and do the relocation thing (in the menu bar). It makes it fit on whichever screen I choose (usually the larger one). The benefit is that I can set any resolution and graphics detail, without having to re-size it to fit manually in Windowed mode. |
