Rubbish.
The cargo hold is miniscule and there are no bonuses to damage of any sort. They also have no bandwidth... pretty useless as carriers go I'd say.

this topic could get so many rounds fired at it lmao...
ill try to be abit serius..
1. No empty threads.....you need to have weight behind you word, always...(dont clean up i throw the toys out <--- if they dont, well you have to do it...3rd time they clean up....i promise you that "and throw out can be anywhere...even under mom and dads bed")
2. Be honnest, if your not, your learning the kids the same thing...
3. Explain. If you need to correct them and they ask why....a simple beacuase i said so aint working. You need to explain them in normal voice (even if it eats you up) what they did wrong and why its bad.
In general just use empati and common sence....all you have to remember is!! Your kids will become mirrors of there parents....you are deciding if you like that picture....this is why kids that comes from bad homes are so hard to help.....they are learning that bad behavior is normal....so that is what they use.....
well enough of that......and yes im a dad my self...two lovely girls that have turned my hair grey...lmao

Edited by: Radgette on 22/03/2010 13:03:07 i've got 2 wee monsters a 6 and 4 year old, kids are great.
but ok piece of advice here if your in the UK and your not married to the mother
get her to sign the form that gives you parental rights, if **** hits the fan you'll be covered ( not sure think law might have changed here giving you automatic if your on birth certificate now not 100% tho ) i learned this the hard way and spent 4 years in court and a shed load of cash getting mine.
but ye kids are awesome love mine to bits , just wish i'd chosen a less psychotic ***** for their mother :p

Congrats to you.
Good bit of advice for you is to always have a good supply of Calpol and childrens Ibuprofen around and a good thermometer. The little darlings can have trouble regulating their temperatures when ill at young ages and fevers can spike fast. It sucks when you have run out cos you know it wont be at those convenient hours of the day when pharmacys and shops are open.
/insert obligatory " always consult your physician before administering these medicines "
Also always go for a syringe to dispense medicine. The spoons you get with it are a nightmare and calpol is very sticky when spilled. It sticks to things better than Sh*t to a carpet. (something else I am sure you will experience in time lol)

Thanks, Rattus. A good bit of advice. I've heard of the benefits of Calpol. Fortunately, I work in the medical world, and have some experience of 'sticky stuff' from all sorts of places. It's just gonna be a bit weird finding it on my carpet (and not being able to leave it at the door at the end of my shift). Ag.

I can only add; don't coddle 'em too much. Wanting your terrors safe is still good... just watch you don't go overboard with it. Try not to tell any flat-out lies, especially, it comes back to haunt you. _____

My baby boy Clayton Mitchell H. was born at 6:19am 03-24-2010 at 7 pounds 7 ounces..22 inches. He is very healthy and doing quite well.
Now I just gotta wait about 12 or so years so I can have a legit macro ratter while I'm at work to fund my expensive pvp habits!!
Good luck to you as well Aganippe, I hope the best for you and your soon to be new family. It's an amazing thing to witness!

OP is definitely not alone!
Proud father of a 13yo boy (10 in a few days) and a 3yo girl. Words of advice:
1) Always check the maps and don't get into places with only one exit. You can get camped by your own kids.
2) Always beware, kiddos Mothership support is never far away.
3) Kiddos are curious creatures. Never let account looged in and unattended <insert some biomass related pic here>
4) In order to develop good language skills, kiddos should be exposed to TS. (I have great pictures about this topic too, and a very angry CEO).
5) Kiddos LOVE Eve Online explosions, even if you are the one exploding so, don't get mad when they cheer your officer fitted vindicator loss.
6) If you thought noob training was hard work, wait till the noob is your own son. Here's a snipet of this morning's conversation onroute to school:
Son - I'm gonna need more armor. I keep blowing up room 2 of that mmission. Can I get more armor? Dad - You need to train the xyz skill to level n. Then you can bigger armor plates. Son - Can you change it for me while I'm @ school? Dad - M'kay Son - ...and get me some plates too? Dad - I'm not going to Jita! Son - But you are off today right? Dad - Meh... ok. Son - Can it be the rolled tung-thingie? Dad - It's Tungsten, Rolled Tungsten. And yes, I have some near Duripant, I can contract it. Son - But can't you go there, pick it up, fly back and then trade it to me when I get out school? Dad - You are aware I do have a CTA this morning right? Remember the tower under attacked I showed you while cloaked? Son - Oh yeah, the big hook in space... but what's a CTA? Dad - Son - Is that a rig? Dad - *facepalm* That's the school, go... talk later.
And thats all. Please be aware that (according to my corp statistical data) miners usually end up with more kids than pvpiers.
Just remember kiddos go b4 the game and you will be OK.
EDIT: Changed son's age to comply with eula... |
