CTRL+F gives us a nice framerate overlay with the Exodus patch.
But there's a benchmarking tab in the ctrl+alt+shift+m menu. It doesn't yet seem to be functional AFAICT. Are there any plans to further develop benchmarking functionality in EVE? Does/Will the monitor allow a player to record and playback a benchmark on or offline, or is just there for dev purposes?
I, for one, would like to see the inclusion/development of this in future patches.

Who cares if you can benchmark when adding new hardware has no apparent affect. I just upgraded from a 9600 Pro to a 6800 and have gotten exactly 0 extra FPS. All my other games have had a three fold increase in FPS. --------------------------------------------------

Then you must have some Problems. I've TI 4200 and tested my PC with 6800. From 7 FPS to 20 FPS ;) (While Mining with 3 BS) Everlyn

i went from geforce ti4400 to a radeon x800 pro with no fps diffrence

Your CPU is the problem.

Either way, headin' out to a similar 'roid feild to mine for a few minutes isn't exactly the most repeatable benchmark in the world ... When CPU isn't a limiting factor (at least before Exodus, and I expect even more so now), I've seen variation between graphics cards. Especially between generations. Older cards like running in windowed modes a lot less than newer cards IME.
Of course, I can't prove it until I have some benchmarking functionality :-)

Actually under Exodus, I seem to get the same frame rate windowed or full screen. Roughly bout 25-30 fps usually. Getting a new motherboard and processor at weekend so Ill see how it affects it - going from Athlon 1.3 to Athlon XP (Barton) 3.2.
