confirming, trailer was horrible. Static pictures of some text, some planets, and that was it. I felt like I was watching a powerpoint presentation on freighters

Since so many of you don't seem to get it, read what "teaser trailer" means here.
Hint: they don't provide new info--they serve to pique interest and to let viewers know that something is coming at some point in the future. The teaser did that exactly.

Idk Kyra, I mean, look at some of CCP's other teasers, even if they don't technically have to be epic at all, that doesn't mean they have to be as boring and crappy as this one. Just because CCP doesn't technically have to live up to some standard for trailers, doesn't mean they don't have to put some effort into them, besides, CCP has done awesome teaser trailers in the past, they aren't living up to their own standard.

Sure they can do better, let me paint you a picture...
First, how about an "action teaser" trailer, featuring epilepsy-inducing shots of the revamped scorpion in action near the those hot new and EXTREME event landmarks.
Shortly after maybe the "Sizzle" trailer, featuring 10 minutes of mind-blowing EveGate gameplay geared towards the vets and eve elite.
Then the "Extended Teaser Trailer" which should hit the major media websites to generate a mainstream buzz.
Then a viral unedited video of the opening cinematic off a cellphone filmed from a non-descript basement might surface, driving the eve online population insane with both anticipation and cries of fakery.
Days before release there will probably be half a dozen "extended exclusive dev diary gameplay interview" trailers featured on the major gaming websites and publications. Where CCP devs share their life stories and how they're aiming to achieve the next generation of emergent and dynamic gameplay through a blending of social gaming and innovative and brand new technologies brought to you by some of the best thinkers and designers in the world. Interspliced with footage of planetary interaction and more eve gate.
Then on May 17th we'll see a "full length launch debut" trailer.....which of course will not be featured on eve-online.com at all and will be impossible to find on the actual day of release. Generating massive word-of-mouth marketing for the company. But all the gaming blogs will be talking about it.
And to top off the experience, a pre-order new-subscription exclusive tie-in with best buy unlocking a unique blue and yellow scorpion skin (red and blue for gamestop) that CCP will put forth to pay for all the marketing. Which will be available through their eventual in-game store for $14 because those who missed out on the preorder will want one.
....Yeah, I wish they did better too.
