Hi could anyone tell me if there are any more advantages of t2 large amarr guns beyond more dps? For example between Mega Pulse Laser T2 and Mega modulated pulse energy beam (meta 4). Is it really worth to train t2 large ones? Thanks in advance.

Edited by: Marko Riva on 20/03/2010 11:07:29 It allows you to fit T2 ammo which gets you better range or better damage at range (most short range T2 ammo sucks monkeyballs).

Well i just couldn`t understand one thing.. I was fighting typhoon with my geddon yesterday. I was using Dual heavy modulated pulse energy beams but the problem was that, i wasn`t able to hit typhoon at all... I just couldnt understand why my tracking was so terrible? And my skills are quite decent :( By the way, i was using faction ammo and was figting him from really close range.

The ducttape-scrapmetal structure of typhoon is so unconsolidated that projectiles, hybrid plasma charges and laser beams pass through it without affecting it much...
Srssly, T2 guns needed for T2 ammo + weapon specialization skill affects only them (+2% damage per level).
Typhoon could be in really really close orbit, but I still doubt you couldnt hit it "at all". --- EvE online. New game every 6 months. |

Lasers have pretty bad tracking, and the phoon has a sig radius like a battlecruiser.

This is wrong forum for that question:
But t2 guns can't use normal or faction ammo. So it is a huge drawback becauiuse close range ammo sucks?

T2 guns benefit from the specialisation skill. So 8-10% more damage than best named. Additional to that they are much cheaper and are mandatory for pvp because of the long range ammo (has also its benefits in PvE). ------ Make Lowsec useful! Vote in the CSM-Forum! |

Edited by: Zarnak Wulf on 20/03/2010 17:40:26 Typhoons are the smallest BS with a signature radius of just 320m. That's only 80m larger then a BC. They are almost always armor tanked. A phoon under 10km would be difficult to track.
