hi fellas, i was checking out the new hull for the scorp looks very very sexy ,but i was thinking if they could give the raven a new more sexier hull too ,because that stub wing and that cancer in frontof it aint a turn on , so if you give the raven a look like the actual animal like they did with the scorp i guess it would look so beast :P

As a Scorpion pilot myself, I strongly dislike the fact that it is symmetrical. Very non-Caldari looking. The new textures look good though.

To make the raven nice it kills me alll they really have to do is CUT OFF that FuGLY @$$ ****pit that stickd out like a sore thumb on a hitchhikers disgusting hand.
Imagine the base of the ****pit actually being the ****pit and cutting off the growth, they are obsessd with making the same model ****pit and smacking it on the ships ...Why in the world make something that sticks out and gets in the way when they had it right besides this....taint lol...... -------------------------------------------------- "If Eve Was P*rn, It would be a Snuff film, First you get screwed then you get killed" -Me

In space there is no aerodynamic, only functional. making planes look symmetric and sleek does nothing in terms of theoretical performance when there is no air resistance.

The Raven hull is classic. No need to change it, everyone knows it as a PvE ship killer extraordinaire.
Its reputation precedes it, tens of thousands of pilots have made untold trillions of Isk in bounties, loot, salvage and agent rewards flying it.
Pretty up those underused hulls, maybe someone will take a fancy to them, but leave my CNR alone.

There is center of mass, however...and thrust. The Tempest for instance should spin like a pinwheel, if we want to get scientific about it.

The Raven already had it's overhaul when they introduced premium graphics. Guess the model is ok, just the textures look a bit datet.

Edited by: Vherr Arkhar on 23/03/2010 00:37:14 I like the look of the raven. It's just enough off to not-be-pretty and yet still not look totally trashed.
Too bad it really cannot compete with a Tengu. At least I havent found out how it could, so far. For Torps it lacks speed (and thus the speedtank) and for cruise it.. well heavies deliver the same but more flexible.
But the looks of the standart raven are just... caldari trademark all the way.

You are correct, no need to be aerodynamic - but there is this thing about showing the smallest possible profile to your enemy, so he/she can target you with difficulty. Loot at the amarr ships for example, they are clearly built for combat (and of course their hull shapes help them to make the work of lasers more difficult by being nice and curvy)
