Greetings f&i!
I'm probably not the only one who has thought of this but here it goes:
Like with t3 ships you can choose the ship properties you want with subsystems, how about the same system with ammo?
I dont mean only mixing dmg types, but also adding ewar into the mix. While shooting you would do dmg and possibly neut (or nos) cap, slow the target, reduce targets tracking, optimal range and/or falloff, reduce targeting speed and/or range, break the lock or even slightly dmg targets modules.
When mixing some ewar into the ammo it should reduce the dps/optimal/tracking of the pilot using the ammo, maybe even some other penalties (but not gimping it like some of the t2 ammo now).
Of course this system would need ton of balancing, but thats the rough idea.
Thoughts?

i think we need t3 guns first, which i believe there have been mentioned in dev blogs, however what you have just described seems pretty overpowered. could be interesting

funny thing here is T3 is generaly over powered as is , it just costs a bunch to get.
onto the OP maybe (for missiles) you could choise a warhead , guidance system , and propulsion system and the missiles are assembaled in ship right be fore you shoot?

False. Actually t3 is pretty cheap (400-500 mill don't make me laugh) And it isn't overpowered at all. It as powerful as T2, just a bit more flexible.
On T3 ammo. As i remember i sujested that about 10-11 monthes ago... ------------------------------------------------- I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And though it is impossible I exist ¬ Trimutius |
