Can a Thanatos be assembled in a class 3 wormhole if the components are taken in?
I'm thinking that the required structure to build the cap does not have any anchoring restrictions in the wormhole or am I wrong?
We don't want to mine the ore or go through the expense of building each component so we thought an easier route would be to buy a Thanatos, reprocess then move the parts into the wormhole for reassembly.
Is this a viable plan as we can't get a Thanatos into the class 3 directly because of mass restrictions.

As far as I know there is no anchoring limitation for structures, thus yes you could bring the components in and produce it. However I don't think you will be able to take it out in one piece, but I doubt thats a problem for you.

We have a Revelation and a Chimera in a C2. Built with X-Large Assembly Array (provides a lot of storage for stuff when done, needs to be online to fill, can be offline when removing stuff).
Revelation built with parts... won't do that again!
Chimera built with purchased minerals + parts BPC. Much easier to haul.

Buy veld/scordite in empire -> compress via Rorqual -> Haul to WH POS and refine in array. That gets all the materials into the WH in the smallest # of trips, as long as you don't mind building the components yourself (a BPC pack might be a good idea if you want to keep capital costs down). --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

Actually Tau, it was cheaper to haul the base materials then the components. I was just too lazy to haul everything, find all the bpc's and find all the mats.
For the components that I bought, I just bought everything in Jita.

Refining array doesn't have a 25% hit when doing compressed mineral blocks?
Interesting idea if so.

If it saves you 3/4 of the trips you would otherwise have had to make, some people might consider the 1/4 hit to mineral efficiency worthwhile :)

Siddis - not all arrays can be anchored in W-Space. For instance, the cap ship array requires sov, which isn't available in W-space.
Dreads and carriers can be built in the x-large array, which can be anchored in w-space.
A 'Gotcha' to watch out for - we also use our x-large array for ore storage. Make sure there is enough room to assemble the ship after you build it. We had to anchor a bunch of CHA's to make room for the carrier to be assembled
Yes - a Rorqual is on the drawing boards to reduce the ore storage issue.....
