So can you get a level 5 finish it and then get another one directly after that? or is there a waiting period before another one is available?

Level 5's are just the same as lvl 1 to 4's. 4 hours cool down between refused missions and no limit if you accept and complete.

I would like to know what it takes to run lvl 5 ship/gang wise. Can they be done solo?

You can solo the non deadspace ones (no gate aka no ship restrictions) in a carrier. Some take 5 mins, some takes 15 mins. Only problem is without faction standings, you are taking the luck of the draw on what missions the agent gives you. When you do get faction standings you can start declining missions and taking the pick of the liter and then the isk starts pooring in (1 bil a day if you try).

the only ship capable of soloing almost all the level 5s is a rattlesnake with descent skills.
a few of them, like mordus headhunters 5 can be done in an ishtar
my agent is close to high sec and i cancel the missions i get in low sec.
if anybody wants my fittings message me in game

I use 3 alts to run missions in high sec;
Tank ship is damnation
Rep ship is Domi
DPS is tempest
for low sec if you are in an area that your group controls then 2 carriers will take them out, one carrier could get into trouble with the neuting towers

How often agents located next to high sec systems give missions there?
Would any1 suggest a combination of 3-4 caldari based gank to run a lvl 5?

I just left a caldari corp where we regularly ran lvl 5s. Can easily be done with 3 ships.
Requires careful managing of aggro but this is what I lead as a FC for 5s.
Tank/Dps - Tengu or Navy Scorp
Dps/Back-up Tank - Drake/Raven (usually a passive drake)
Repper - Drake (even used an Osprey a few times)
Important thing to remember for you tank ships is that you want passive tanks as almost all Lvl 5 missions have nuet towers.
Our corp leader often tanked in a Rattlesnake and just had other ships come along for DPS.
