Is this possible? i really regret injecting some skills. I havent trained them to lvl 2 even, so, its not a big loss, at all.

I'm excatly the same as you, to the point of deleting a character before because of it. Seriously all you can do is grit your teeth and deal with it, your character is never, ever going to be perfect it's just a fact of eve.

The GM's technically can do it but they won't as one of those skills might be a pre-requisite to some other skill you have.
At least that is what the response was when I asked them a few years ago when I wanted them to remove controlled bursts which was pretty useless at the time when I was using nothing but projectiles.

There were a debate about whether or not it should be possible to delete skills from your sheet on this forum some time ago, I think most people agreed that it was a bad idea because you may want it some day so gms would be flooded with requests for reimbusements.

It wont delete any prereq skills because survey and Destroyers arent connected to any other skills. There's no loss. This just doesnt make sense, if i can inject, i should be able to delete, or at least SOMEHOW it should be deletable...I just want those two to be out of my skill list....ITS JUST NOT FAIR.

Welcome to Eve.
As others said, one day you might want those skills, and with only lvl 2, you didn't lose that much time anyways.
And if you really never need them - well, you shouldn't have injected them, then.
One day CCP will lower the prerequisites for a skill and you will have trained it to, say, lvl 5 without need. You won't get that lvl 5 deleted, either.

If its possible, though, i dont know why it cant be done.... And at least if the Amarr T2 Destroyer was good, i would be fine with injecting Destroyers... Rocket bonuses , and 4 turret hardpoints on an Amarr ship? Thats just , for lack of a better word, ******ed!

hehe...
All this chatter about wasted SP on silly L2 skills. How old are some of these characters? less than 3mo? I have Multitasking L1 and never intend on playing anything that can benefit from it...and I'd be ticked off if someone deleted it.
Spend a bit of time worrying about things that matter. Like...Girls and Beer.

The T2 amarr destroyer may suck but the T1 certainly doesn't. Great range, lots of firepower.

Edited by: Charles Park on 29/03/2010 08:37:54 Other than OCD I can only see one other reason for deleting a skill, and that's for keeping your clone below a certain level; even then I don't see the point unless its a cyno alt you want to keep under 900K.
Besides that-they're not going to give you that training time back, the skillbook back, or let you re-distribute the skillpoints. Whats the point?!!?
Edit: Oh, and the Heretic is actually a decent fleet dictor, certainly better than the Flycatcher. The 'destroyers' skill lets you fly all races destroyers (with their racial frigate skill) so if you ever cross-train its still usefull.

Dare I ask what 2 skills you seem to have wasted an hours worth of training on you want deleted?

What is the point? I injected the Rockets skill and I haven't even trained it once. And I don't care. Who cares if there are low skills on your sheet???

A long time ago I thought as a Caldari I would never use any gunnery skills, and I wished I could just get rid of the entire category.
Here I am, almost 10m SP into gunnery.

I venture to think that this probably qualifies as one of the daftest threads around. I mean, who cares!? You injected a skill, you don't like it; well, don't use it! LOL. If someone deposts $10,-- bucks into your account, you don't go petition them to take it back either, do you??
And to whoever wants to keep his clone under 900K, you're too cheap to be even playing EVE! Now, stop pestering the GM's with stupid petitions -- Gorgeous, delicious, deculture! |

The only advantage to removing skills would be to use those SP's elsewhere. That IMHO would violate the spirit of the game, in that the choices you make do matter, and have consequences further down the road.

Some people wouldn't care about having those SP's to use elsewhere. There are people who'd be happy to give them up just to keep a tidy skillsheet etc.
Personally I'd like to see mining lvl 1 removed. As a pvp / cap-ship skilled character I've never mined, never will. I've got alts for that. It just looks...untidy and out of place on the skillsheet.
Just a thought, but some might even want to give up unused skills to keep clone costs down. (i.e:- cyno alts). |

I so understand you!
I'm probably having a bit of OCD myself or something... Anyone of you guys played Diablo 2? I remember deleting 7 assassins at lvl 93-97 due to clicking 1 stat point wrong, finding a superb rare item that had speficif stats on them that changed my block/fhr/ias breakpoints or just requirement to wear gear.
Oh man am I glad I managed to quit that game...

Yeah I'd like to remove mining and all of my missile skills.
The argument that "I might want them someday" doesn't hold any traction with me. If I only have mining lvl 1 and under 100k missile sp after 6 years, I think I can safely assume I ain't training them any time soon.
Interesting times await... |

I got a few research skills on carrier pilot I was thinking of selling I wouldn't mind deleting...really looks silly this character which is very focus on fly Thanatos with like 400k wasted sp (my fault couldn't make my mind up what I was going to do with alt when I started it).

As long as its "Spaceship Command" then I think that the GMs should get a green light on this .....
I hear that the skill "Spaceship Command" is still available on the market -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

There is a valid reason to keep a clone under 900k SP, it has something to do with a cyno alt, I will let you work out why.
