I have great respect for IT and UK but OP comes of as a kiss ass. And "my own alliance awesome purging of CVA together AAA" ? Really? AAA did heavy lifting and you helped a lot without any doubt, but count yourself as equals?

node-crashing fun...yeh, that sounds about right
with that attitude yes
But hopefully some good fights are had and not everything fails, and hopefully NC holds out and puts up some good fights, yes hopefully.....

CVA folded within a fortnight, PL folded within one week, Goons folded within 40 minutes. Where will the NC end up on that epic Scale of Fail (TM)?
I can assure you, we are still very much here.
Your own alliance it has to be said made a great comeback considering it was nearing 300 members after being booted out of Providence a few years ago. It still holds much of my respect for doing so.

I feel dirty agreeing with you, and in addition, -IT- is not necessarily a "comeback". IT is something new, and the entities involved have come back from being scattered and spaceless to reuniting but with a new name and new idea. Unfortunately for NC, they have common "old scores" to settle.
I must add, the vile twist on Molle's words "nodes will crash" has NOTHING to do with ANY plan to crash them. He was asked what would he like to see improved most in the last CSM meet, and he stated and always states to see EVE lag free.
We might be "clowns" but we will never be goons.
Cheers and have fun guys o/

RA did make a great comeback.
That does however take nothing away from IT's comeback, which by any measure is pretty remarkable.

Of course we're not equals, and he didn't say we were. However, UK's comeback is still pretty damned impressive considering we lost all our space 3 years ago and were squatting in lowsec. Very few alliances have survived that kind of humiliation and come back stronger than ever. ----------

Well, tbh. i realy wished Goons would have lasted longer and actually defended Delve. Somehow they betrayed us on our revenge. And on our Comeback: We did win mostly because our enemies where unable to organize themselves or where failcascading. The difference between us and others is that we have been able to use these events to our advantage.
But on the other side: We proved we have superiour organization. Our FCs are generally recognized as being amoung the best ingame. We have a high morale and had superiour numbers (as someone said on SHC: It is hard to beat 400BS Fleets in every timezone).
The point is: If some people remember how we lost Delve and how the Goons lost it i think u might see the difference between these two groupes. Also, i dont remember us starting a Civil War after fighting in Delve was over.
And tbh. i have to laugh at anyone who predicts the outcome of this campaign against the Northern Coalition. Nothing is writen in stone yet. We are not perfect, the NC is not perfect and Eve is know for dramatic changes.
Tbh.: whoever would have predicted BoB being disbanded?
So lets sit back, enjoy the show and fights and lets see what the future brings.

I agree, Windy, that the membership of IT's resurgence has been pretty impressive. They have certainly recovered a little more quickly than I expected they would, but I guess there's been some lucky breaks along the way that have sped the recovery, just as some bad breaks sped the downfall. The symmetry is certainly interesting.
I guess if one keeps predicting the downfall of the NC, eventually one will be right. Nothing is forever in EVE. Chee makes a good point, though. We've certainly heard all this before.
I have a sense that this time will be different but that certain entities will show admirable resilience (unless things have changed that much since I was last on the inside).
If it's to be an end, here's hoping it's an epic one and not a pathetic one.

RA comebacks, best comebacks. Honestly I don't think I've seen any other alliance that makes a comeback do it as fluidly as RA has, most retreat to lowsec/empire/NPC 0.0 to lick their wounds and rebuild. Both Times RA has lost their space they just kept fighting till they got it back or got more, which having had my fill of nullsec warfare impresses me all the more.

Originally by: General Windypops It's pretty awesome really. 6 months ago they had no space whatsoever, but as soon as they made an effort they were able to claim vast swathes of space, single handedly wiped out Goons, and the NC are already evaccing in the face of an assault that hasn't even happened yet.
Aside for my own alliance's awesome purging of CVA together with AAA I can't think of any other alliance that has made such an awesome comeback in any MMO.
CVA folded within a fortnight, PL folded within one week, Goons folded within 40 minutes. Where will the NC end up on that epic Scale of Fail (TM)?
Personally I think they will hold fast for a week. They will then suffer a significant dropoff from their fairweather members (about 40-60%?) but the remaining proportion will continue to harry IT et al as they lose their space. Goons will side with the NC on forums and send small numbers of minor ships which will harry IT reinforcement lines, but will ultimately not commit anything significant, as always.
3 weeks from 1 April will be their full surrender.
But that's just my view - what do you think, CAOD?
I think you hit the blunt one to many times son. Hardstyle Ambassador |

Yeah. It really was amazing to be there in C-J6, looking at RA's last station, with the combined cap fleet of -V-, LV, ASCN, and several other smaller alliances pounding on their POS's - and then have the lag monster bite, and watch their come back. Incredible.
There's a video of that fight - I have it, it's 163MB, and it's just called "fleetbattle". It ends with "We fought the lag and the lag won."
