So the new Fraps is finally here and they've added a fresh new feature for the first time in a long time:- looping. Details

Curious to know the CPU resources this will take up. I don't want it to be too much a strain on my ageing system.

Now that is a very nice feature. Now if it only could be a bit more than 30 seconds though so you could just hit save whenever the fight is over. Still a great step in the right direction.

If you can run Fraps, you can certainly buffer - there is a drop in performance when buffering, but then, there is a drop when Frapsing anyway so... |

thats a pretty nice new feature...hope i can remember my account details.
maybe someone can help me, if i'm running two eve clients, both in window mode, and am frapsing my main one, what happens when i switch to the other client? fraps just stops? or does it switch to recording the new client?

Unless they've changed it, fraps only records the divx-layer it was set to record initially regardless of how many clients/video players etc you swap between.

Not sure if it does it when minimized (don't think the divx layer is active then) but it does continue of you alt-tab in windowed or change to a client on a second monitor. At least it works on my end.

Yea, it does work that way. For years i had this issue where if i started fraps on one client, and then tried to switch to the other, both clients would just crash. So frapsing while dualboxing didnt work.
But recently gneez told me that he does it, and so i went trouble shooting, a quick update to the latest version of fraps, and it worked fine. Start fraps on one client, switch to the other, keeps recording on the first.
it's a nice feature, not sure if i would use it much.

30 sec buffer is tha bomb! no more missed headdefibs in bf2 :)
but they should cut the price in half! if they did i would buy a licens instead if surfing tpb for it.

Yeah, because 37 dollars is such a steal for the best and most widely used video capture software ever... you sir/madame are a true 'douche canoe'

Confirming that paying for an absolute kick-ass software that has free upgrades is pure win and it's not expensive for what it does at all.

Well, GameCam already had that feature, but meh. If you already own a license for Fraps (Or you dont and get it in... other ways  ), its certainly a neat feature.
