Short and Sweet, With the release of INFERNO, The game has turned into more of a second job than fun GǪ At this time we feel there is no place for our institution within the game anymore so ... As of this post ... The 0rphanage [AD0PT] is closing its doors and will no longer be taking any contracts. We knew it was only a matter of time that CCP would attack our gaming style head-on: The Empire PVPerBUT the attack also had collateral damage too: The Casual GamerThe 0rphanage [AD0PT] will be 'mothballed' ... Some of us have left the game all together .... Some of us will continue on in other endevours within the corporation: Interstellar Brotherhood of Gravediggers [MBALM] GǪso GǪ NO you canGÇÖt have our stuff GǪ

Dispite what goons have to say.
Adopt is 14th overall
Privateers is 2nd overall
While i spent time in these 2 alliances a few things came to mind.
It was a great lag free enviorment and alot of fun you could login and grab a few kills and laughs then back to rl.
Stat padding our killboards with capitals killing pos modules wasnt our idea of fun right goonies?
while test alliance was teaching its members to create lag I was getting 300-800 kills a month while the missle were still in flight.
In the final analasys test and goons lost trillions of isk to us way to go nulsuckers you are so great!!!!! (at losing ships) |

My resists to bad posts are 78-89-83-90 ....... The metal head plate increased it by 5%.

@Godsquad dude; apples vs. pears comparison. For you PvP is obviously about k/d ratios and value.
Goons are fighting over terretority you can win a Sov war with 1% isk efficiency an a 1:1000 against k/d ratio.
For others (like me) PvP is about just fights win or loose, and to me ratios and numbers don't really matter either. vOv |

Highsec PVP won't benefit from anything if theres not anyone doing it by the time crimewatch comes out. Inferno turned an already niche gameplay style into an even deeper niche gameplay style.

I have never done the High sec PvP stuff so I might be talking out my @ss here. I have how ever done station camping and gate camping. Neither of which do I consider PVP. Its ganking stuff for fun or to make ISK. If you don't fight out side of the dock radius its not PvP, but station games or station camping. And this game style has not left the game. You may just have to do it in low sec or 0.0. Go to Amamake, Rancer , Tama or any of the other low sec traffic areas. Trust me there is lots of PvP in those systems.
And to Kaeda Maxwell, no one care if you got great stats for high sec PvP. It like saying I got rich from "bot"ing. Was a broken game mechanic that needed fixing.
I am sure the Orphanage has some good pilots. Would of loved to see you guys fight in the alliance tournament. Maybe that would of proved to every you do know how to fight not just gank.
Well I can't say I am sorry to see you guys leave. Never did care for you guys much. But I do hope you can find some fun spots to PvP in. |

Kind of a l"love / hate" thing, lol. You are actually correct in many points. I've spent considerable time in both null and in low doing just that. We kind of were an "escape" from those options as many of the guys came from one of those two. For the better part of this year we actually did not allow our guys to camp the hub undocks anymore... and did it the good old fashioned way. So now we'll head down to null and see what kind of nonsense we can get into down there! |

lol never thought that highly of High sec PvP. Other then maybe RvB. I know the orphanage has some good pilots, and I can understand the good times that can be had camping. hell its 4:20 some where in eve and drinking is easier if you don't have to pilot your ship. Its the whole waiting for some idiot, that can't check to see if his alliance is at war, undocks with his life in a box. there is no risk. |
