This is a public service announcement for all. Beware accepting Commander Predator into your corporation as he is a thief and scammer. He has stolen many billions of ISK from multiple corporations.
He presentes himself as an enthusiastic, experienced PVP fleet commander. He initially gives many good PVP and fleet suggestions including tactics, fittings, and overview settings. He also includes a strong recommendation to keep all ships in POSes not in station hangers.
Once he has gained acceptance, when few people are online, he raids the SMAs of the POSes to which he has attained access. Once discovered, he boastingly announces his theft in chat after selling the stolen ships in high sec or locking them up in expensive contracts.
His alts are "Frosty Beverage" and "Everyone Warp'Now". His most recent corps is The Hurt Locker, [ticker HURT- ]

that's a fair question, I suppose being still a novice player and much lacking in PVP experience, that any well presented exposition of fairly well known PVP literature would suffice to be "good" for someone like myself. Especially if the majority of the information was actually true.
Unfortunately, the best lies are hidden within the veil of truth.
Still, this post was not a discussion of my lack of PVP skills, which are many, but a warning to others to avoid a thief, especially this one.
If you have some good suggestions to give, they would me much appreciated.

He claims he took four billion ISK in ships, mostly Hulks and Drakes and another billion in modules. I fortunately only lost a Hulk and Mackinaw.
If anyone else has had stuff stolen by this thief I would vm like to hear from you.

Four billion in mostly Hulks and Drakes, not counting their modules? Wow, that's a lot of Hulks and Drakes, since those two ships average less than 100 million each unfitted.

Actually, hulks are about 200m last I checked, still that means he stole at least 20 hulks.

there are a few (good) merc. Corps around who (for a fee) will look into this for you. I'm told that simple revenge can be quite satisfying even if it costs the Bank. My suggestion to you is loosen the purse strings a little and sick the professionals on this guy.

I was wondering when this thread was going to appear...
TL;DR -Pred put a alt in the mining corp to make isk -Realized he had access to billions worth of ships/mods as soon as he joined -Took them like anybody else would a couple days later. -"The Ascendent Dominion" (alliance, because I didn't know who they were either) post with alt offering tears.

Some people still have honor towards their comrades and leave their ships alone. I know this is shocking thought in the ruthless environment of EVE, but honor and loyalty are valued even more when theft and deception run rampant. Well, some people get off to people like you crying in dismay on the forums.
I may not like them but I appreciate their sense of humor, and you should accept that it's a GAME and not something you need to get angry about.

Oh well another scammer manages his work, and the CEO/Officer of rank warns everybody of it, geez... i guess most regulars in C&P already know who is scamming or is immune to scamming themselves. Why warn the same people over and over again? i mean... its not like all the corps that actually need warnings ever hangs around here except when they get scammed or need a merc contract :P ____________________

Interesting how when one wishes to warn others of a thief, this turns into "anger" and when one values honor over deception, this turns into "crying"
True it is a GAME, and CCP deserves great credit for creating a world in which you can do things that in RL would get you jailed or shot
But remember theft in EVE is ultimately theft of real money as it involves the loss of much time spent acquiring assets.
Ships = ISK = Time = Real money paid to CCP
And lessons from this theft were learned the hard way so it wasn't a complete loss. "Government is empowered when people follow it, fight it, or fear it.
The State Leviathan is best weakened by ignoring it." |

Anyway, confirming Commander Predator is a corp thief and you should not under any circumstance be an idiot and leave your ships up for grabs inside a pos forcefield.
