Recently moved into a C2 wormhole, I have 2 combat and 1 logistic that I use as tri-boxing. My other combat pilot is flying a Gank Megathron, I currently fly caldari but I'm not happy with my raven or scorp or drake for that matter. I want more big bang and versatility. And I hear lots of good things about the maelstrom and typhoon, so I'm currently training up the last bit of of projectiles and torps to fit into T2 siege missiles and AC's.
But for now I still need something to hold me over. And at 822dps with heavies I find it very appealing and looking forward to future 1K+ dps fits once I'm finished. What I want to know is do i want 5 torps and 3 AC's or 5 AC's and 3 torps? I see lower EFT dmg with AC's but how does it fair in actual PVP, I understand paper dps and reality dps can be very different sometimes. And I just want an experienced and knowledgable opinion on this as my eve-search hasn't shown me what I want.

i would scrap the three autocannons for two heavy neuts and a drone link augmentor, but thats just me(assuming you're gonna use this for pvp). --------------------------------- Pillage, then burn. Everything is air-droppable at least once. There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'time to reload.

What he said. Plus how are you gonna catch a tackler if you're tackled? Maybe lose the heavy drones and fit more lights too. T1 heavies aren't gonna make much diff in pvp.

spare highs -> rr to keep loggie pilot alive? They have thin hulls youknow.. would second the neuts though, especially if youve a guardian

And what does the Drone Link Augmentor for a close range gank BS like the Phoon again?
In WHs you need to break strong omni tanks, so lotsa dps + neuting is a good thing. Since usually you are fighting against already stressed, passive regen capacitors, a single heavy neut will be nice, two even nicer (especially if you are fighting against stuff BC and up).
In C2 i thing you are pretty safe, but for C3s when soloing, do remember that sleepers might focus fire on you and or scramble you, so you have to be able to tank the opponent + NPCs in bad case scenarios, and then escape the room yourself... thanks for the replies, I will equip some Neuts then but no need for a probe launcher this is strictly a WH a patrol ship and entry/exit camper for when we get crowded and alliance needs me to stand guard.

Stick to torps, swap AC's to neuts, regarding drones it should be 5x warrior II + 5x Light ECM drones for OH SHI- situations, rest of drone by should be either sentries or heavies (keep in mind that heavies are good at EFT while rarely damaging anything that moves) Can also experiment with omni link it makes sentries lot more flexible.
