Vilgan i'Lakin	Posted - 2010.04.01 03:29:00 - [4] arghh, the price is frustrating because I need a caldari carrier pilot. Not sure why anyone would waste time on titan skills for a Leviathan. If you adjust price to be more realistic please evemail me. Maybe somewhere in the 13 bil range. Not sure why you leapt from 10 bil bids to 17 bil when you bought the character.

Not sure why you leapt from 10 bil bids to 17 bil when you bought the character. Hay man, The reason why I bought the character for 17 bill is that is what he is worth. Let me explain why.. Fully fledged titan pilot (which this one isn't that far away from), sell for 28 - 30 billion. To get this character to be titan proficient you need to spend 105 days to train up titan V, JP IV. This requires 5bill in skill books & about 1 billion in GTCs. So, using that argument I could argue he is worth 22 BUT I have to make it worth someone's time to train him up. Hence me buying for 17, the 20 bill figure is to leave some room for negotiation. Claiming his is worth 13 doesn't even warrant me responding to. Regards, Chewy Chewsmoka D.P.G.

You could say its A near titan toon but its not a titan toon as if i owned the ship i couldnt plop him in it, without flying to empire and buying books. But anyway Read my thread contact me if interested Thrad Oh and FYI if confused remember the general rule of thumb is 2 bil per 10msp. Some Specific trained toons differ from the rule.

And you're right about the second rule here but applying a "2 bill per 10mill SP" or "200mill per million SP" never, ever works. Each character must be considered upon its strengths & the relative market demands. He is a "titan character" and definitely did have the skill book / relevant skills plugged in. However, I would argue that its down to a characters specialisation of skills which commands the price. He definately did have the skills but they weren't trained to high levels (read: DD V not trained). As such he went for a low sum. Not to mention he was a resale. So I could easily argue that if he didn't have the titan skill book he'd have sold for 19 bill. However, thats enough of me picking holes. If I may post example of character which have sold which reflect my argument more. VS Fletch No titan skillbook for this one but MAXED everything else. Cap hybrid V, Cap Ships V, Armor comps V, DD V etc. He sold for 23 bill. KIA Talon MAXED (in every way) titan wise, sold for 28 bill. Pulque Another MAXED erebus pilot, sold for 26 billion but I was in a rush to sell him. With the counter arguments to the points you have raised and the examples I have presented I maintain my arguement that fully fledged titan pilots sell for around 28 - 30 billion and as such will maintain the price tag of around 20 billion for the character. However, best of luck selling off your toons. Its difficult offloading three chars in one post and (not meaning this in a demeaning way) am MORE than willing to give you a hand, if you so need it, in crafting sales posts for each ones to ensure each char realises its maximum value.
