Hello
I've seen that Eve could be launch on 2 or 3 monitors. I've tried to play with 2 monitors and my Ge4 Ti 4600 and it works well. But the sreen is only extend verticaly on the second monitor and like this the ship is always on the middle of the screen so I can't see it entirely. Is there a way to have a full screen on one monitor and just an second extension monitor to put the chat window and all the other windows?
Sorry for my pretty bad english...

Same thing here - I went out and bought a second TFT screen in the hope that EVE would display chat windows and other not to important stuff like skill training window's etc on the other screen - but no, it streched across both with the ship and readout's smack in the middle - Have i set-up wrong ? If not - that's how i think EVE should be displayed as it would greatly enhance the game experience not clogging the main action with other small window's ! ! !

I would reccommend evedudeplus before messing with screen res, monitor features etc. i tried dual mode on my 4200 ge4 with no luck, it DID display the messages in the 2nd monitor but did NOT display the screen with ships. i think you are confusing the dual monitor feature in the game with plain simple dual monitors I.E. extended desk top. as for the horizontal stacking, if you run nvidia..(which if your having trouble you most likely are) get expertool installed , then go to the advanced display tab in windows, there should be an option to run (A) the exact same on both....no good....(B) stacked left and right(still cant see ship...or (C) as you said, vertically, so far the only good i get out of dual monitors is that since i have 2 accounts i can disable fullscreen put one player on the left, and the other on the right....lag can be a bit of a prob, but it beats running back and forth between pcs....i will be sure to come back to this thread as i would like to get the in game dual monitor feature to work......and once again. get evedudeplus if you mess with display settings, i had to totally reinstall cause when i tried the 2 monitor feature it locked the game in an impossible to view 320X res, with evedudeplus you can change settings without having to load eve to reset displays back to default in the event that happens.....

It doesn't seem to work with a radeon 7500 (dual output, one DVI, one VGA).
It duplicate the screen in 320x200 ... |

It seems that the multi-monitor support was added as a nice treat, but is flawed.
I mailed Support about it, because like you guys, I thought this would be a cool way to tidy up chat windows, etc. This is the reply I got:
Quote: IŠm afraid that as it is EVE does not support multiple monitors. When people have tried to implement this feature it tends to zoom in on a the left right corner and they have to ctr-alt-del to get out. If this has already happened IŠd recommend deleting the preference file in the EVE folder. If it hasnŠt then I wouldnŠt recommend trying it. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope this wonŠt affect your decision to join the EVE-online community.
I've not tried multi-monitor because of that reply, and it seems you guys are getting exactly the kind of problems I'd expected.
I also get the impression that *3* monitors would work best. However, I think only the Matrox cards support this correctly.
