Any suggestions for third character?
Current characters are: 1. PVP main: flies all Minmatar and Caldari T2 Frigs and Cruisers. 2. Mission alt: flies a Golem. 3. ??? Freshly maxed learning skills.
The question is: What to do with the third character?
I'd like to focus on one ship for a couple of years, maxing skills.
I have been thinking about: Ishtar - Fun to solo roam, do plexes, can tank level 5s, assist mission alt. Dominix - Similar to Ishtar, more dps, cheaper, fun PVP, versitile ship. Curse - Solo 1v1 roaming ship, nice compliment to some of the ships PVP main flies. Thanatos - I really don't know if I want to be responsible for a carrier in fleets. Apocalypse - Function as fleet battleship pilot since PVP main flies cruisers/frigs.
I'm open minded. Any thoughts on what might be a nice compliment to the other two characters? Something that might fill a void in a part of the game I'm missing? Must be combat oriented.
Thanks!

Max leadership alt that can fly the Legion and Loki along with maybe the Scimi/Guardian would be best, imo.

Carriers are very useful to have, even if you only use them as a jump capable ship hanger. Since you need BS V, you could train a BS/Cap pilot to compliment your main's smaller ships. *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

I was going to say the same thing, Train your leadership up until you can fly a command ship. annoying to train if you use the account but great to train on an alt account you can have training while playing with a main.
Train all leadership and all warfare links skills up to specialist, then re spec back to your normal skills and get to work on your ship support and ship skills.
great toon to have when you begin to fly in large groups because the training on bonuses will help a great deal.

Thanks for the advice.
After some thought, I'm going to go with the battleship/carrier path. I'm trying to decide which battleship/carrier will be a good compliment to my other two characters.
I could go with Chimera and stick with Caldari, but the Raven and Rokh wouldn't be my first choice for fleet battleships.
Thanatos seems like a solid choice, and the Megathron is a fine fleet sniper. Thanatos has the versatility of shield or armor transfer... If I want to dual-box level 5s, it might be awkward mixing a Dominix/Megathron with a Golem because of the different tank types, although I could shield tank a Domi.
I really don't know anything about carriers or the whole fleet bonus leadership thing. Not really sure how things will work.
Which race carrier/battleship do you think would go well with the other two pilots?
Thanks!

well minnie carrier is pretty damn good for mixed fleets and also are just generally sexy.
however i can't help but silently hope you go down the chimera route, shield tanks can be absolutely godly and open up a lot of fitting variety, if you have the carrier RR'ing you really only need a 2 slot tank on a shield tank (invulns)
of course many associated risks with that, but it's just one awesome part. :3
also sticking with shield/missile ships while multiboxing at that level will make things a lot simpler due to the range of the weapons and the lack of transversal care taking.
Chimera looks hot as **** too in my opinion, i always love it when i see a shield gang tear an armor RR gang to shreds due to their relative maneuverability added ECM options, tracking disruptor posibilities. The shield tanked domi is tried and tested and much loved by those who fly it too. Hell even if you just use sentries on the domi, with RR's in the high to help the carrier out.
the domi adding in nearly 500 dps on top of your "main" ship.
that said multiboxing to this level is pretty fail, just go make some friends ;)
