I would be interested in someone better at math than me working out exactly how many hours this guy worked to earn a billion in his first month mining, assuming he trained everything as fast as possible and worked 23/7.

I think anyone should be aware of the fact that mining provide the materials to build everything in EVE, ice runs all POS in the game, nobody says mining is the most entertaining job in this game but lost of players started mining in this game. Btw, he was no teaching anyone how to play, just wanted to share his own achievement with the community, proven to useless.

Okay okay, so he has to sleep.

Assuming he gets 6 hours of sleep (and he is smart and makes 1 hour of that downtime) he only has 540 hours a month to mine. This means he only needs to mine 1.85 million ISK per hour worth of ore. Still completely doable!

Oh, I forgot 125 hours a month for 2 PLEX that's 125 divided by 30 days 125 / 30 = 4.16 hours a day, and that with a lame Retriever.

here is the math chaps...


1 unit ice retails about 350k to 400k...

500 000 000.00 / 350 000.00 = 1 428 units of ice

2 units per 375 seconds on retriever and ice harvesting level V

so there fore

1428/2=714

714 cycles

714 x 375 = 267750 seconds

267750 / 60 / 60 = 74.375 hours

74.375/30 = 2.47 hours per day

I had 30mils spare yay skillbooks :) :P YAR HARR laddies..

You are very new to EvE. Time IS money. It's all about isk per hour and did you at least enjoy doing it? Did you stare at your screen making sure gankers were not circling or did you just watch TV and leave it up to fate?

Choosing to work overtime for a few hours to spare ones self from dozens of unproductive hours like a potato just giving cheap minerals to some nul market alt who knows people will part with minerals for exceptionally low prices because too many in the game don't believe time has any worth. Only that they have a deadline and any amount of hours in between is a justifiable sacrifice.

Well, actually you destroyed a lot of your own time doing it. You're looking at a hundred hours plus to make that much ISK from the activities you described at the skill-level you described.

$15/100hrs = $0.15 an hour.

I mean, I value my time at more than that, but you're welcome to see yours otherwise.

You are the first one to earn a plex in a month from starting out. Since Plex have been introduced in late 08 and in all those years no one has ever done it before. You win at eve. I don't see a reason to keep playing as your have already reached the plateau of playing for free... except you did not play purely by plex as you cant fly barges with trial account so you had to purchases an account to reach your mining yield.

There have been pure trial accounts that managed a plex. I'm sorry, you are not the snowflake that started an avalanche.

All you've demonstrated is that a very low income per hour, multiplied by a lot of hours, adds up to a decent figure.

We all knew this already. Most new players don't want to stare at ice cubes for 75hours to save themselves $15 a month.

Thought I might share how I made my first Billion in my first month.

I achieved it by doing the following.

Got one of every skill level as I am able to

Got the Vexor asap then

Started Axiom Corp

Mined Concentrated Velds in Scheenins Tirelessly

Transported and sold at Cistuvaert. for best price.

all the while training for Retriever and planetary interaction.

Then Also got the retriever.. And ice mining level 5 asap.

Started mining Ice in Jaschercis tirelessly.

Started mining ore with corpies for catalysts production bought mostly
by one client and market sale.

Also trained appropriate skills regarding these activities.

Got plex.. saw deal at Amarr for 470mils,, then it went as I got there
then had to jump back to Avaugne for same deal :)

I am not sure how many hours or anything.

I have earned last month according to evemon a total of 970mils and
spent it aswell.

So in conclusion, basicly just playing the game and earning my way
with all means possible
