Flying through a RVOLT system would get us yelled at/yellow boxed (not the best idea from RVOLT ;] mining corp vs pvp corp) But we did let section 13 take our system as we were tired with dealing with incompetent players who'd undock dual carriers and a tengu to tackle a vagabond... Also the under the table deal for H6 which was an atlas owned system but RVOLT payed to keep us out even though we protected it was a pain in the ass. Well we weren't forced to, of course. We were there initially as just a very small group of people who were blue to Tri and used their space in wicked creek to make isk and general mayhem. It was good for a long time. Atlas came in one day (as we know) and said right, you're paying us now. We were a bit o_O but wouldn't expect Tri to come back ... we had our infrastructure and most of our stuff there so we said ** it. It was only 1 billion a month v0v Again at first it was ok but as Atlas started piling in the renters, a previously empty region became stuffed full (literally thousands) of people who would go whinging to Atlas if you looked at the funny or stayed on a gate too long. I've heard of "blue on blue" because "you're in my sanctum" type - I mean, seriously. It wasn't an immediate change, it was slow and gradual ... Atlas then increased the rent they wanted people to pay... ok it was by 25% so not too bad. Then we were told we were hurting the feelings of Atlas's friends' pets so we couldn't go to Insmother or Scalding Pass for any roams... we had over 40 alliances and corps as "blue" who were 30 jumps from us it was horrible. It was all the little things that added up to this bitterness about it all. It started out fun but ended up a disaster. No we weren't forced to rent from them but then where else could / would we go? We just wanted 1 system to make isk so we could pvp and under Tri it was great. Under Atlas, whilst I'm sure it works for them isk-wise, it's horrible. Unless all anyone wants to do is NPC all day long in their private little system (which most of the renters seemed to like doing v0v). So when S13 came for the invasion whilst it was a headache to get the stuff out of the way, it was a big relief and an excuse to say ** you to everyone nearby and just reset them. I don't like to beat my own drums all that much - we were and are an insignificant pvp corp / alliance who, assuming equal numbers and on-par ships can go toe to toe with some of the roamers - COW, AAA, S13 if luck's on our side - but only up to gang sizes of 5 or 6 people - above that and we can't match it. Out of all the renters in WC, I firmly believe that we were the "best" at least as PvP goes. You'd have to ask S13 their own opinion of us although the fact that they tended to avoid us and go after the easier targets (i.e. ones not going to end up popping their cynabals and stuff) means I think on some level they recognised that. I'm also not sure but I think they also went for us first to prevent us from being able to help with a resistance should they have targetted the other two station holding entities. Obviously we'd never have been able to stop them ourselves - not even remotely close, I know that - but out of all the people in wicked creek at the time, we'd be the ones that'd cause the most harrassment / annoyance. So the towers were attacked, SBUs plonked down and we just shrugged. I let S13 in to the system, let them dock, they gave us 48 hours to clear out and we've not looked back. I feel kinda sorry for Revolt and the other entities that have left as they had a lot of towers and jump bridges ... I think we had 2 towers max and that was our sum total of assets so it was a total evac time of less than an hour in the end. Also ignore glonn, he's an idiot. --

We had a fun fight : objectice completed In the process we managed to kill the anchored AAA tower and retower it with our own even though we lost the first tower while we were changing ship types (not an excuse we actually did not do very well with our rr bs and a good proportion of the gang needed a new ship).

I mean, we didn't even have a tower there, but their objective was to RF it, eventhough it didn't exist yet. Everyone wins here. Primary ~~prevented us to put a tower~~, ~~destroyed the anchoring POS~~, RFed the POS. And we managed to put the POS and make some fight happen.
