How many T2 BPOs are in the game? Is there a data base or even a good guesstimate of how many are out there?
I am not interrested in endless and useless conversation about their efficacy or how upset someone else is because they don't have one.
As a noob I have enjoyed reading this forum and have learned alot [when not having to wade through nerdly rage ]. Thanks to all of you who post your hard learned wisdom.

I don't think anyone outside CCP knows for certain, and they aren't saying. As I understand it, those items that have T2 blueprint originals were originally distributed 20 of each aside from ammo, with ammo getting 40 of each. Since that time, certainly some have been destroyed in ship wrecks, some have been removed because the owning account got banned from the game for exploitation or Real-Money Transfers, and some are owned by accounts that just aren't active anymore. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

and some are in the hands of collectors, and some people just don't use them (as much).

Three BPOs for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne, In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie. One BPO to rule them all, One BPO to find them, One BPO to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them, In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

Very apt.
Following the analogy, this means that to save Eve from ruin, T2 BPOs must be seized and 'thrown into a volcano' - destroyed forever. Throwing the owners in as well is optional, depending on how much they complain.
Glad to see there is so much support out there for this course of action.

No, it does not. It only means that the One BPO (the one for t2 carriers) has to be thrown into a volcano, or given to someone nice.
Or, we can just all invest in salvager Is and let the whole place go to ruin.

Except the power of the one was connected to all, so that when the one was destroyed, all the others were also rendered useless and worthless. All that was wrought with them began to fade and fall to ruin.

Yep, A Dev stated in a post many years ago that there were more than 10,000 in game. I think more were given out after that, but at most there are around 20,000.
So if you want to play it safe, around 10,000. The large number of them means that for many of them, they actually make no profit at all because the item they make is not all that useful.

from previous discussions
8 of each ship
16 of each module
32 of each ammo
but this is pure guesswork
and it may be more like
8 of each frig
16 of each cruiser
32 of each module
64 of each ammo
or something else
- those that are on accounts that have given up [there are a few] - those that are on banned accounts

As for different items for which T2 BPOs exist, there are something like:
60 different types of ships
84 different types of ammo 16 different types of mining crystals 12 different types of drones
68 different types of weapons (incl. 12 types of smartbombs) 24 different types of EW modules 28 different types of Engineering and Electronics modules (and 100+ other items. Someone else can probably post a better breakdown)
Say 400 different items with an average of 40 BPOs per item: That's 16,000 BPOs, give or take a few thousand.
