How does this sub-system work, i want someone to answer that has personal experience with this and not someone who thinks its how it works and hasnt found it by trying it themselves.
With this subsystem fitted to you still get dragged by bubbles? but you can warp away or do you jsut ignor them and go straight to gate?
Thanks _______________________________________________ Regards Davo |

The Interdiction Nullifier makes you immune to all effects of the bubbles.
NO, I haven't tried it but I know how it works.

It works exactly like this.
Combine it with the covert-ops subsystem and the only way you can be caught is if you do something INCREDIBLY dumb. _______________________

Or get tackeled by an instantly locking frig with a warp disruptor after a gate-jump between the decloaking and cloaking process.

Quick question from someone who will be skilled to fly a Tengu in 1.5d: does this include immunity to drag bubbles?

Edited by: Bloody Rabbit on 05/04/2010 02:50:49 You can't be caught with the cloak subsystem and nullifier but if can get close if you jump into a big big fleet and get lagged out.
I jumped into a roaming/camping AAA fleet with 60+ on gate; I was able to cloak and warp but I sat there for a good 6-10 secs with a black screen after jumping into the system. So it is possible to die but most likely not going to happen.
PS I have used T3 to sneak into most of the 0.0 war zones and I have not lost a single ship to a gate or something like that, only when I have engaged and really really should have just stayed cloaked.
With the t3 nullifier subsystem you are not effected by drag bubbles are anything else like this.

You sure? Don't you bounce off a sling and get pulled into a drag. Only thing is you're able to warp off and not stuck in one you mean?

Completely. Will the nullifier equipped you are completely and totally immune to bubbles. This is why there are grumblings that the subsystem should be nerfed... because there is simply no way to counter it outside of the aforementioned "inta-locking ceptor". _______________________

Isnt it still that if someone drops a bubble on you warp is cancelled? (So you can warp out of a bubble, but your current warp is cancelled if a new one is dropped on you, but dunno if it is still that way)

Only someone who has no clue and no braincells could have said that. Anyone who actually uses the ship knows, that there is a 0.5-1.0 secods time gap between the decloaking and recloaking, which is enough for a specialised instant locker. If you hit the cloak right after decloaking, not waiting for 0.5-1 seconds, you'll get an error message.

yes but the inty trying to takle wont be able to lock the guy anyway.. even if you spam ctrl-klick on overview.

Agreeing with Intigo on this point. The time between the jump cloak, alignment and recloaking is based on your own reaction time, lag and having the experience in how to do it properly. If done properly (not accounting for lag/connection issues) the recloak is "near instant", one should realise that while the recloak is instant the ship still shows up on the overview for a short time but is technically already cloaked and can thus not be locked.
The only way to get caught while doing everything correctly (other than ending up very close to a hostile ship after jumpin) is by having a fast aligning intie approach the last known position and movement (mostly based on the extra overview time), then uncloak the covert and THEN get a lock/point.
The time between jumpcloak and recloak has nothing to do with that, IF done properly.

Just fyi, T3 haulers with interdiction nullifier option is on the drawing board in the near future. At least, that is what the EVE Tribune says, and they never lie.

Wouldn't you have had the 20 second session timer cloak anyway? Then it's back to your choosing when to move&cloak? |

The confusion regarding this subsystem is understandable since it was broken when it first was seeded.
As has been stated, the subsystem IGNORES bubbles completely, regardless if they have been dropped after you initiate warp or if they are HIDs or pull bubbles or what have you.
If you have a covert as well you can only be stopped by really bad lag/timing/home-computer.

Sure, you are killable. Big Gate Camp, One or two ships near to you, so you cannot cloak from your initial position. Your T3 is history in a moment

Stabs gimp your ship tremendously. And in big gate camps, when it happens you spawn right upon another ship or two, it takes maybe 2 seconds and you have 5 and more points on you. Forget about Stabs.

Confirming (personal experience) that IN sub ignores all bubble effects, but can still occasionally die due lag, or by spawning <2km from some object/ship.
As consequence, I confidently travel in 0.0 with expensive T3, but if I suspect a system has heavy camp, I'll rather send cheaper covop/cceptor to check it.
And to elaborate why T3IN will not die just for fast lock:
Per CCP devblogs, the server updates word state in cycles; at some point the cycle was one second.
0) T3 tells server it breaks the invulnerablity (hits align/warp button) 1) Server updates T3 is out of jump-in cloak - T3 tells server it wants to activate cloak - Ceptors tells server it wants to lock T3 - Due cycle math these both happen at 'same time' even when there is small real time difference
2) Server starts locking timer but also updates that T3 is cloaked
3) Server finishes locking timer and tells ceptor the targetting failed.
Even if cloaking had failed, ceptor would still need one more cycle to issue the scrambling effect.
