I just got into level 4's finally and i'm having trouble with my tank.
Its usually something like 4 mission specific hardeners and one lar 2 with no rigs. last slot is a cap power relay.
This usually works, unless the entire room aggros me.

Well, the first question would be, what skills do you have?
I dual repped my Domi until I had Repair Systems 5, mainly because I was worried I'd be blown up otherwise, but you can probably get by on Repair Systems 4 or even maybe 3.

In a side note, did they buff the armour comp skills? last i remember they only did 1% to active hardeners.

Well, with those skills, I can't see you having too many problems tanking most level 4's...
Just be careful with the triggers, and you should be fine. And for some missions, nothing short of a full Estamels Golem with high grade crystals, a Tengu providing gang bonuses, a strong blue pill and overloading* will tank it, so you can't always tank everything in just a Domi
*I know this is a slight overexaggeration, but you get what I mean

Aux nano pump rig or two and Rep systems 5 should do it. And/or a faction repper.
