Edited by: 0bvious Alt on 05/04/2010 02:04:49 Going to boot camp soon and I'm going to try to use my iphone when I'm able to log in and update skills.
I was told about this thread here: http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1264024/page/1 I've since bought Iteleport:Jaadu VNC app for the Iphone and also loaded the Jaadu program to my computer.
I'm using my Iphone on WIFI and trying to log into my computer. I keep getting the error: "Connection Closed~The server closed the connection"
Can anyone help walk me through this? Huge Thx.
P.S. I completely turned off my firewall and I get the same message.

If your boot camp is anything like mine. Good luck getting your I-phone through. Think about what kind of security risk a device with a camera, rewritable medium and transmission capabilities will pose. Granted there's not much to spy on in boot camp, but many bases ban camera phones on principle, ditto with anything with rewritable storage. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Ya, I didn't believe it when I heard about it either. My recruiter said it Just recently passed that I'll be allowed use of it....I don't remember the exact allowance of it. There is more info on the military forums.
P.S. my router is a linksys.

Prob worse trying to get in with an Android based phone, actually heard that a 14 year old used one to pull down several FBI firewall's before finally getting caught...now he works for them lol, I currently have Aura (like evemon) on my hero atm but have never heard it to be possible to change skills and stuff via an iPhone app

Edited by: 0bvious Alt on 09/04/2010 01:42:26 ok update time.
I paid the 25bucks for iteleport Jaadu iphone app. And since its been trial and error.
My first mistake was not realizing that I need the 64bit ultraVNC installed on my computer since I'm running a 64Bit windows 7. Duh....
I've run into many crippling issues with iteleport jaadu iphone app. Currently my issue is that I'm able to log into my computer but once in...the screen never refreshes from the desktop. Jaadu From what I can see does not have a force refresh option. I've been talking with customer support everyday, jumping through various hoops.
The second iphone app I'm using is Mocha VNC Lite. Version 2.3 (free) My iphone os is 3.1.3 (7E18)
With Mocha lite I'm able to log into my computer and then log into eve. Mocha has a option in its menu where you can force instant refresh. This solves the issue I have with Iteleport Jaadu never refreshing from the desktop wallpaper. I think the frame per second on Mocha was somewhere around 5-10fps which is more than fast enough for what I need it for.
I'm having an issue though where If I bring up the character sheet page, the page comes up on my computer but doesn't show up on my Iphone. Forcing refresh doesn't solve this issue. Still working on it.

Edited by: 0bvious Alt on 09/04/2010 12:24:11 success!
I've finally got it. Logged into computer than eve and updated my skill que remotely using my iphone.
Currently Mocha lite ( free app) is outperforming the 25 dollar Iteleport app.
Current setup mocha vnc lite connected to UltraVNC on windows 7 64bit version. Connected via WIFI, haven't tried data. My iphone is on T-mobile as well, not AT@T.
clunky to say the least, but for those of us who spend weeks, months away from a computer/internet terminal, this does the trick.
