ok, i am trying to make my own industrial calculator in java (java being the only language i know) and i am trying to find some sort of document with a list of all the BPOs with their attributes. i don't know where to go, i downloaded MSsql and the appropriate data dump from http://eve.no-ip.de/dom100/ whenever i try to open it in MSsql server management studio i get "the operation could not be completed. not enough storage available to process this command"

For my private use, I take the SQLite conversions (thanks, again Jercy Fravowitz!), because everything is in a single file and you don't have to install any database servers. Very convenient, for small-time apps and when you have to develop on multiple pcs!
There are also numerous viewer for sqlite (http://www.sqliteexpert.com/) and some JDBC (http://www.zentus.com/sqlitejdbc/) implementations.

Edited by: illford baker on 06/04/2010 20:05:52 ok, i got into the DB (thx Lutz Major) and i got all the info, but its still not what i am looking for, i want something like a text document that java can read, in some sort of format like (blueprint name) (item group) (waste factor) (nowaste trit) (nowaste iso)...(nowaste the rest of them) something like that. short of going through every blueprint and writing it in a .txt file myself, what else is there? (do not want to do it myself, would be long, tedious and prone to human error)

Why? You can access the database via JDBC!
Originally by: illford baker (blueprint name) (item group) (productionTime) (waste factor) (nowaste trit) (nowaste iso)...(nowaste the rest of them)
name and group can be found in the invTypes table. Production time and waste factor in the invBlueprintTypes table. The materials you can find in the invTypeMaterials and ramTypeRequirements (mainly T2 items). I strongly recommend, that you read the posts of Matthew and Fubar here!
This is a basic example, of how much minerals a Wreathe would needSELECT inv.typeID, inv.typeName, mat.quantity FROM invTypeMaterials mat, invTypes inv WHERE mat.materialTypeID = inv.typeID AND mat.typeID = 653

illford, if you want to get serious about production, try an already availble tool like eve meep (http://www.eve-meep.com).
If you do this for fun and want to give it a try, then keep going
