Edited by: Empire Wolf on 07/04/2010 13:02:34 just saw that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq3VuX6YMA8 and it seems that a stealth bomber can really do some high damage, even from that small frigate. can it work as solo pvp ship? since its covert ops ship can it use stealth? btw can stealth ships be found by scanners? can you move while in stealth? what happens if you are to close to the bomb? how much generally stealth bombers cost? what modules do you use for solo pvp? or corp pvp?

Edited by: Nina Treml on 07/04/2010 14:24:20 solo? not very well, you must choose targets carefully of course it "can use stealth", but you cannot activate any module while cloaked
a cloaked ship cannot be found by scanners, if your cloaking device is not active, you can be founded of course
you can move and even warp while cloaked
if you are too close you get damage and, since you are made of paper... you die
bombs are ~1 mil but even less
yes bombers got bonuses on torpedoes, check their stats.

What they excell at is anti blob. Both NC and KSC has lost hundreds of ships each these last few days to bomber gangs. Solo pvp in something that has 2400ehp and shoots torpedos has it's obvious downsides but like everything else in eve it's about picking your fights.

Anything that you can kill before they lock you. There's guides for more advanced operations but honestly it's not the solo machine you are looking for.

Nothing is quite as fun as hot dropping in a blackops/SB/recon fleet. DNS (Dirt Nap Squad) is one of the best.
Here's some video of DNS hot dropping another black ops squad. It was a lot of fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slMoIZ4bhaA&feature=related |

lowsec: Because you cannot use bombs I suggest cloaking on a belt or gate, waiting for a fight to kick off and then: quickly uncloak, lob a volley at a dying ship and warp off sharpish! Warp back cloaked at range from a different angle and repeat with a new target - aka killmail ninja.
Nullsec: If you are skilled you could solo a bs with a low drone bandwidth. Align cloaked at 30 km to the target, uncloak and lob a bomb. Next turn on warp disruptor ii and orbit inside 24 km until dead. You must choose a target engages by bs rats to help you out on the dps. Also you will need some kind of ewar like damps, tracking disruptor or similar.
