So I spent 4, maybe more hours doing minor guristas annex complex. No info could be found on it, so of course it took me forever to complete it. Once I finished I went to the next system to get my salvage boat and mwd to pickup the commanders drop. Which Im sure is worth a ****load given the ammount of ships I had to kill. But theres no complex gate... Oh, seems as though since it took awhile to complete it the gate de-spawned. And of course I have the wrecks on scan but cant warp to them. Thank you cpp. For yet again another reason why other games are better...

Edited by: Keilateau Shakor on 09/04/2010 06:53:10 Please don't blame CCP for not knowing game mechanics. If you trigger the completion trigger in a complex (blow up overseer/structure) and warp out, the site despawns. Your options: 1) bookmark every pocket 2) keep a cloaked alt in any of the pockets

Noob friendly does not necessarily equate to "better".

So... you left a plex after killing the commander without bookmarking a wreck and it is CCP's fault?

Confirming EVE is not "other games" and will not hold your hand through the scary bits, will not auto-loot everything with one click, and will not allow your pet dog to warp back to Jita and sell everything for you.

This counts in "long learning curve" lesson... I am not sure if it is ever mentioned in tutorials since I never did them, but yes, complexes despawn after you kill all overseers.. so you always have to make a bookmark to every pocket you visted if you plan to loot later.

He didn't say that.
He said it was cpp's fault

Even Ben Stiller would agree that, for the majority of players, this unfortunate situation only occurs once.
So suck it up and realize that bookmarks are your friends.

There's no mention of this game mechanic in eve wiki. In fact theirs none in the dev blogs or on the tutorial. In all reality, this game mechanic serves no purpose other than reflecting lazy programming. As well as since no bulletins mention this mechanic and the description of cosmic signatures is extremely vague in wiki constitutes how eve will never be more than a overcrowded BBS game for unemployed Europeans.

Well... bye. Leave your stuff at the door, someone will be around to collect it.
edit: Oh yeah, it is on scan that means you can still get to it.
I've got the great little story about steering an Interceptor pilot with a directional scanner. Kept him on 5-degree with the wreck for an HOUR of 12km/s MWDing, because some tard ( ) forgot to loot the commander wreck in a 6/10.

Even unemployed Europeans know that a wiki is made by the community, expecially the players.
