I lost about 15 megas making this video and a few other random ships here and there. I only flew the one domi and i lost it in the same system to a falcon blob. I tried using a Hype but after 1 fight I realized it was garbage for a solo T1 fit.
As for fights that i won but don't qualify for movie material, I'd say about 75% of the fights I win aren't really movie worthy (in this case).
I tend to win according to my killboard and battleclinic somewhere between 60%-75% of my battles, with a 1:1 chance of surviving an engagement, and enemies chance to survive being 1:3.
That being said - when you roam solo, I'd say about 25% of your losses are guaranteed regardless of what kind of ship or how good your fitting is.

It is obvious that a t1 fit bs is going to have trouble against other ships and that every success flying such a ship is a rewarding experience for you, but it's really not particularly attractive to watch.
I think you are missing the point. I don't do this because it is rewarding (though it is), I do it because it is affordable. Even if i blow 10x the ISK i am spending on my ship, which is easy after rigs and T2 mods, I'm still going to die to a blob with neuts and a falcon.
About 1/4 of the ships I lose are guaranteed losses. Lets do some math.
For sake of argument lets assume my mega costs 7mil, standard mega costs 70mil. If we have 4 fights I'm going to assume that the average cost in loot dropped (if you loot it) is 10mil.
My T1 mega will win 2/3 fights that aren't blobs, The uber mega will take all 3.
so 20mil for me, 30 mil for you.
I die twice so -14mil for me, -140 mil for you. At the end of the day I'm still 6mil up, you're 110mil in the hole (even though you are more awesome than I am). Even if you play with these numbers a lot to lean towards your argument, I'm still going to be losing less and making more. You would have to kill 7 T2 fitted ships in a row (solo) AND LOOT to just break even for every 1 blob you accidentally get caught by. I just need 1.
I don't have an unlimited budget like many PvP'ers and to make vids this is the only way i can fly solo.

thx for the awesome feedback guys - I suppose i will have to bump the fontsize of the comments up a bit. :( I thought smaller would be better since it's less distracting if you just want to watch the vid.

haha sorry no. Since I go through a lot of ships its hard to keep coming up with names so as of a year ago I've been using this Random Ship Name Generator to name ALL my ships and containers too.
