Very nice editing and technically flawless.
However...
Whole thing screams of: if you'd be less focused with looting in mid fight, writing walls of text in commentator corner or trying to fit your ship in a borderline ******edly cheap way, you might win way more.
It is obvious that a t1 fit bs is going to have trouble against other ships and that every success flying such a ship is a rewarding experience for you, but it's really not particularly attractive to watch.

Nice to see a megaT in action. However seeing the horrifying level of piloting of said megaT makes me cry. Zooming in to watch armor go up and down in the middle of the fight is about as cool as watching paint dry when we could have enjoined seeing how you handle cap/tracking and many other aspects of the game in fights. After watching your mwd being on for the first 10 minutes all hope was lost. I want the 30 minutes of my life back. |

Great video! Awesome music, interesting and entertaining comments and good video editing. Your comments were a bit small though maybe but you also wrote quite a lot here and there and that irons it out. A must-have video imo.

Lots of negative comments for some reason, this is a polished vid. It doesn't have pimped ships, in fact the mega is running t1 guns, but that's kind of the point. It's about having fun blowing things up while being blown up.
I think I saw the op fly through Geminate in the mega, I remember saying in gang "wtf a solo mega" and the response was "he has probably resubscribed from 2006 and is flying a local rep blaster mega"
I was in guardian with 2 ishtar, pretty sure it was you. Personally I'm glad you proved us wrong about being able to solo in a local rep mega :)

I lost about 15 megas making this video and a few other random ships here and there. I only flew the one domi and i lost it in the same system to a falcon blob. I tried using a Hype but after 1 fight I realized it was garbage for a solo T1 fit.
As for fights that i won but don't qualify for movie material, I'd say about 75% of the fights I win aren't really movie worthy (in this case).

I think you are missing the point. I don't do this because it is rewarding (though it is), I do it because it is affordable. Even if i blow 10x the ISK i am spending on my ship, which is easy after rigs and T2 mods, I'm still going to die to a blob with neuts and a falcon.
About 1/4 of the ships I lose are guaranteed losses. Lets do some math.
For sake of argument lets assume my mega costs 7mil, standard mega costs 70mil. If we have 4 fights I'm going to assume that the average cost in loot dropped (if you loot it) is 10mil.
My T1 mega will win 2/3 fights that aren't blobs, The uber mega will take all 3.
so 20mil for me, 30 mil for you.
I die twice so -14mil for me, -140 mil for you. At the end of the day I'm still 6mil up, you're 110mil in the hole (even though you are more awesome than I am). Even if you play with these numbers a lot to lean towards your argument, I'm still going to be losing less and making more. You would have to kill 7 T2 fitted ships in a row (solo) AND LOOT to just break even for every 1 blob you accidentally get caught by. I just need 1.
I don't have an unlimited budget like many PvP'ers and to make vids this is the only way i can fly solo.

My favorite of yours by far. Music and editing were great, I do what I always do for text, which is pause and read.
I do wish the text at the end, the nearly full screen stuff, had been kept in the commentary box or added in a way that didnt block me watching you blow **** up.
Who knew a webless mega could actually hit anything. Cheers role play!

Wasn't too keen on the music and felt the comments where a bit small, I think I missed a few while watching it. Was nice to see pvp with more sustainable setups isk wise though.

The editing was very cool, really liked the "swoosh" bars at the start of the fights giving the ship layouts. However, I too have real problems reading any of the text at my monitor resolution (1280x1024) - I don't know if the video is just designed for a more modern screen ( ), or if its just too small to begin with. Either way, increasing the font sizes a few points would really help with the readability.
I would agree that that manticore gave you way more trouble than it should have. I totally understand how hectic it is in a solo fight managing everything, but he did dip into scramble range a few times, and against a mega thats just asking for a quick death. Still, you have some good fights and get some impressive kills despite the T1 fitting.

Yeah you didn't look at the super-carrier kill that well did you. That was a joint cease fire set up by M34N to kill that ship. It was spotted and probed by M34N. Look at the kill tard.

Hey man you posted the corp summary on the killboard, not me. Still, to even out the isk loss of just one of those 5 HACs you would have to destroy over 20 of Role Play's megathrons. Like I said I have no idea what the story behind your eRage is and I honestly don't give two-****s; I just find it funny that you post a killboard link that makes it look like you are getting your ass handed to you. I especially find it funny that you chest-beat about defeating Club Bear in KDR when they are most famous for the number of ships they lose and having fun doing it.

Not bad music, I like the titles, although the first video youtube stream ended with a big "Enter text here" box at the end. Minor gaff.
TBH, I don't even remember that fight. But I at least didn't look like a total idiot in the video, always a plus. (Long enough back I was using Ogre Is...) I'd be interested in seeing the fit outs for your mega, and a little more background on your support (the guys flying the drakes, domis, and/or other visible ships in some of the fights).
Oh, and the comments are a pain in the neck to read even at 720p resolution.
Still, pretty good video.
