Hello there.
Can anyone recommend a solid PvE fit for a Typhoon? Battleclinic seems to have one capable fit and that's about it. I'm currently packing 3 Large Auto II's and 5 Arbalest Cruise, and armor tanking with an emphasis on resists and not buffer.
Anyone got a favourite fit they'd like to share? ***

Other than not deciding if you're fitting for short or long range, I think you've got the essense of PvE ship fitting. Would help to actually show us your fit though. What rigs+drones have you packed?

If i would run missions in a phoon it would look like this 3x BCS faction/t2 3x mission hardeners t2 1x LAR faction/t2
100mn AB med cap booster pwnage omnidirectional tracking link
5x CM launcher either 3x D425mm if there are alot of close range cr/bc/bs or 3x 220m if there are a lot of frigs Sentries /heavies + 5x light drones
3x rigors But in the end if you can shieldtank and fit t2 proj there is no reason to not fly the maelstrom since you can arty/ac fit it and if you know the missions it outguns the phoon in 9 of 10 missions

My Typhoon PvE fit goes like this: [Highs] 3 x 1200mm II Arties 5 x Arbalest Cruise [Mids] 3 x Cap recharger II 1 x PWNAGE [Lows] 1 x DCU II 1 x LAR II 2 x EANM II 2 x Mission Hardener II 1 x BCU II
[Drones] 5 x Orge II, or Beserker II, or Wasp II 3 x Hammerhead II, Valyrie II, Vespa II 4 x Hobgoblin II, Warrior II. Hornet II
[Rigs] 1 x Ancillary Current Router (don't really need this anymore with AWU 5, but for Cruise II or Siege II might be needed) 1 x Auxilliary Nano Pump 1 x Trimark Armor Pump (also not needed, was installed in n00b days)
The LAR, DCU, PAWNAGE and Hardeners run for 38 mins on my skills, which is perfect for any mission.
What I am considering changing, is using Sentry II drones and replacing the ACR and the Trimark for a Sentry damage and a Drone Optimal Rig. Should up the DPS nicely.
Should be said that this works fine for most, but not all missions. The Maelstrom is better at most of them.

Without trying to sound like an ass, the best way to fit a typhoon for pve is to eject from it and board a Maelstrom. Shield tanking is far superior in PVE due to having free low slots for damage.
Split weapon systems are a pain, especially in something as tedious as pve. It's not that the phoon can't do dps, it can quite well actually but it requires way more skills (T2 sentries, cruiser launchers, shield tanking, projectiles and whatnot). A Mael is much easier, you have turrets and shield (and some drones) so it needs less input.

I've been flying Maels and I got bored. I chose the Typhoon for a change of pace and as an excuse to develop my missile skills and get some experience using missiles on and against larger boats. ***

I appreciate the above suggestions in any case. I'll try mixing up the fit a little based on what I've seen above and see if I can make a few improvements. Thanks folks.

OK, that fits me with PG left over with no rigs ( AWU4 on this char ). If I swap to T2 1200s, I need an ACR and a PG imp; if I then swap the cap booster to meta 4 and the AB to named, only needs 1 ACR. I would drop an EANM for a specific hardener ( I would probably drop the other EANM for a damage mod, but that's up to you ) and at least one Aux Nano Pump rig. For the last... well, you could fit another ANP, a Rigor, some other missile rig, a sentry damage rig, many choices.
I would train up sentry drones also, this thing has a big dronebay & enough bandwidth for them.
