okay, i was bored ratting ealier and thought to myself 'why do guns get a visible weapon, and missles just seem to spawn from the hull of my drake and fly towards the enemy?'
im not a game designer or anything but i think i can understand the effort the would be required to put this into place. im certain about myself but not everyone else that i would like visible missles launchers on my ship, that missles actually come out of.
Drakes have launcher thingies on the side of them, so why dotn missles come out of there?
i don't know if this has already been broguht up by someone else or not, but i just wanted to raise the point. please CCP can you have a look into this and maybe give us more reason to vote you #1 in the MMO graphic designers :) :)

You're saying you can't find the missile launchers on the physical model of ships?
I'm sorry, but your credibility is somewhat hurt by nto being able to find any of the hundreds of the same topic. Maybe you need to eve-search.com your drake for the launchers, they might've been there all along? Parrots, commence!

Who cares if it has been mentioned 100000000000 times before, its being brought up again.
if you don't like the thread, backout and find something else to do.
as for the OP, its probably on a list somewhere but on that list are a few things that should be taken care of first.

yeah i know this isnt a great deal important compared to things like the catalyst hull going seethrough on rats and the nodes crashing all the time lol, just thought it might be nice you know, as for finding the modules, im perfectly capable of finding the mods. im on about the graphics of the missles coming out of launchers and not apear to be a magic spell like on neverwinternights where the missle/fireball comes out of your char's chest lol |

You can turn them on from the ESC menu, it's just hidden somewhere obscure.

Basically, the main reason it hasn't been done is the art department can't be bothered to do it.
During the Naglfar rebalance thread, they said they couldn't do jack about the split weapons system because they didn't have time to redesign the ship, so the hardpoints had to stay how they were. (How they were bothered to do it for the Typhoon I'll never know, but I'm not complaining.)
Adding missile hardpoints to every ship that uses them would probably be a massive patch worth's of revisions.
From a technical game mechanic point of view, firing missiles creates objects in space, unlike turrets which just have shiny graphical effects and instantly damage their target. These objects originate at your ship's core vector, which is why they come out of the center of the ship. To have them fire from points on the surface of your ship would need a major overhaul of the math used to calculate the starting point of the missile in space.
It would be nice, but there are other fish I want fried...

CCP just need to get the crayons out and do it.
Above anything else, it puts turret users at an unfair disadvantage: you can see what type (t1/t2) and how many turret weapons are on a ship by looking at it but missile lauchers?... anyone's guess.
