Edited by: Rogan T''van on 13/04/2010 23:14:05 So ive decided to dable into the dark side of piracy and see how it fits. Can anyone recomend a low sec system within 10 jumps of rens where i can start out at? And no Amamake is not an option. Ive poked around there and the Bane boys are never alone. Im looking for a .4 to .1 system thats got a medium population and is relatively large alliance free. Please only serious suggestions as I will be spending some time probing the system in my SB before i decide to set up shop so dont waste my time.
Thanks for your suggestions

Edited by: Rogan T''van on 14/04/2010 01:16:33 Im not looking to rat. Im lookin to practice blowing up other people ships. Hence amamake is not the best place to start.

Best advice is to join a low-sek corp or alliance so that you can learn the ins and outs of low-sek PvP...
Also, low-sek pvp is more SP intensive (Tank and Gank Skillz) than 0.0 or high-sek so get those BC skills up if you want to be useful and have fun in low-sek!

Edited by: Mutnin on 14/04/2010 07:34:54 Hit the back system in the Bleak lands or go up into Metropolis.. I'd stay away from Amamake because it doesn't mater if you are in a T1 frig or a BS.. You will get blobbed.
Amamake isn't what it used to be the local blobs have made sure of that..
This map gives you a pretty good idea of where to go..

He's got a point m8.
Regardless, try around the Evati area. There are pirate organisations around but sooner or later you kind of become friends with them if they see you are up to the same thing.
It's generally best not to get fixated on one particular area. Keep moving. As a solo pilot, your ability to move around quickly is one of the few advantages you have. ----

I wouldn't exactly call us friendly. While we DO respect our fellow pirates, we will still take their stuff if given the chance :)

Roam systems near Amamake. There's a bunch of them, they're busy but not as busy as 3-1.

Edited by: Olleybear on 14/04/2010 23:13:05 Sounds like your looking for some controlled pvp/pirating hoping for 1 vs 1 fights that your not going to get insta-popped by 10 guys. While I'm not a pirate, I do like a more controlled pvp experience where the fights are fun for both sides.
I've found that visiting the 2/10 plexes in low sec space offers me a chance at some fun pvp where I dont have to worry much about getting ganked by 10 hacs. The entrance gates to the 2/10 plexes only allow destroyer and frigate hulls ( including interdictors like the sabre )into the 1st stage of the plex. This will help cut down on the 'I'm so awesome in a gang of 10' type of scenario.
Most importantly, this kind of pvp where you are alone makes you do the thinking. Your not just doing what someone else is telling you to do over voice coms. You will be a better pvp'er in the end for it.
I believe there is a single 2/10 plex 2 jumps from amamake and a few scattered around the metro and molden heath regions. I've had some fun, small scale fights in and around these plexes.
Enjoy.

Vard, siseide, ezzara etc. are systems I've always loved for when I feel like soloing. It's right next to amamake so the bane blob occasionally breaks their camp and pass by, but it's generally alot easier to find a 1v1 or rookies, even if it's not what it used to be. -

Just a small warning. Make sure the plex gate itself is clear before you go in. Every so often, someone decides to camp the gate in a bigger ship.
Also, pretending to rat in the more quiet systems (under 5-6 people in local) is a good way to get reasonable fights. Just get ready to bail if local spikes. The back end of Molden Heath, away from the highsec entries, can be good for this.

Have you tried Olfeim ?
It's one of those low-sec systems which you can only get to via hi-sec and just a few jumps from Rens. _____________________

Mateber. Its a quite little system smack in the middle of a oneway lowsec pipe. In range of black rise ammamake bwf and drone space. I made my first billion pirating bwf-mateber.
