I've got a strange problem (well truth be told I've probably got many strange problems) but this one in particular is: I tried to post a reply to a post this morning from my iPhone, it let me through the initial security account/password and then brought up the character name screen, I put my character name in and carried on, but it refuses to let me log in, I've tried 2 different accounts, neither of which work, same problem.
This is the first time I've tried logging into the forum through the phone so I don't know if it's a new problem or not.
Yet, when I do it via wifi at home it shows me as logged in.
My phone provider is Orange UK.
Any ideas?
Thx

Have you tried asking if anyone has any similar problems in the Macintosh forum? I have no clue what could be causing your issue but if someone else is having it then you should compare notes and try submitting a petition to Technical and see if it can be fixed.
Good Luck!

Don't have an iPhone but I'm just wondering what character name screen you are talking about? I have never needed to enter my character name anywhere around here so I'm just wondering where you actually tried to log on to.

There's a new part of the login process that if you're logging in from an unknown connection or something (ie internet cafe, friends house etc) then it asks you to enter one of the character names on the account as part of it.
*edited cos I screwed up the quoting*

Heya :)
If you're still experiencing the problem, can you file a bug report?

Its network dependant. My vodafone one works perfectly. Its probably to do with Orange issuing out ip's. My blackberry on Orange used to do the same to be fair.
Ring up Orange and ask if you get a static IP with your iphone. I know I do EVE time codes 60 Days EvE Game Time |

Well its not an iPhone problem, as I seem to be getting the same problem on my Desire. I'm also on Orange though so i guess they are the cause.

The dynamic/static IP thing, I'm not sure if that would cause the problems I'm having, surely the IP would stay the same until the next time the browser is used, they're not going to change the IP mid session are they?
I sorta got it working, but rather unreliably, I'll persevere and see how it goes.
