Yes, I work for Serpentis Inquest (corp only found in the Fountain region); and I got a story mission from someone in Serpentis corp that is in the Curse region...
Now, apart from the small problem that Curse is not exactly the safest space for FA members, this mission is 58 jumps from me!
I'm afraid to decline that mission... because it might really hurt my standing... now I'm afraid to even get another story mission...

Same here , alot of our corpmembers gets storyline missions in Curse and this realy needs to be fixed as 50-80 jumps one way is rediculus and even more when it is in enemy space.

Maybe time to end the FA CA war?
Though the travel time would proberly kill you anyways.

This is probably only the case with certain agents, which are located in very remote areas. I had someone look into this issue though, it could be that 'important' agents for certain factions are lacking in places where they should be.
Ignoring a storyline mission request will not hurt your standings. The agent is just asking for your help, not demanding it.

Hi guys,
i did received story mission too which is 59 jumps away in deep 0.0 space. I know i am not gona do it, but how do you decline/refuse/cancel that mission? Spent good 20 minutes yesterday, but i still cant find the way how to decline the mission.... Is this a bug or do you need to accept the mission then wait untill time runs out?

Ahh i forgot to mention that i accepted mission and still dun have option to say like "get stuffed i am not going to do it" all it gives me is 1 option which is "The job was completed, now give me my reward" abviously its not completed and agent tells me that too!

You should be able to decline them remotely. Note: Declining should not lower your standings either. Only quitting on the job after you have accepted it will lower your standings.

Needless to say, I ignored it.
Perhaps CCP could add a little line to the code that says important mission offers must be within X amount of jumps (15-20 is probably reasonable).
That would keep situations like this from happening.

Zrakor, but thats the thing, i cant even quit mission even after i accepted it, there are no any other options to choose for conversation exept "I completed the mission, now give me my reward" but as i mentioned if i press that, my agent will remind me that its not done yet and i would end up with 1 option again.Its a Quafe agent and mission is "Assasination" of some ebil Caldary commander if it helps. Before accepting mission i had 2 conversation options only "ok i am up for it" and "can you give me more information" and i tried everything but i couldnt refuse/decline it.

I think the reason this is occuring is because the Serpentis faction is comrpsied of two corps.. Serpentis Inquest and Serpentis (something else). Inquest is Fountain, the other one is all in Curse. I have had similar problems with the Republic Fleet agents, I will often get useless Important Mission offers from other Republic corporations, with crappy reward, long travel distances, and no standing for the corp im actually working for.

Same with Angels that i use they are devided betwen FA and CA, some how there must be a solution to the problem as i hate to miss the important because of the faction deviding.

I got 2 storyline missions for Archangels in curse , 53 jumps away. Looks like us in Fountain got to live without important missions for a while.
I calculated that I will need about 250 missions with my L1 quality -19 agent before I get to my l2 agent when I dont get important missions

This is incorrect there are both Serpentis Corporations in Fountain. But the important agents for Serpentis are obviously all in curse.
