Well, considering everyone gives themselves a pat on the back every now and then when they reach another year in eve, we've finally got around to jumping on that "me too!" bandwagon that so many other "notable" corporations have done. As the 15th (US Time) as this is written, The Maverick Navy has turned 2! While we are known and maligned for a long list of heinous betrayals and "being possibly gayer than finfleet", we'd like to fill some of yall in about our journey to IT.
-MVN- was formed ironically, out of betrayal no less! Where my once longstanding friend MvHades decided to attempt and euthanize our old corporation -MV- The Mavericks in providence over a little dispute about joining a drunken alliance called IAC (Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate). Anyways long story short he pulled a Tyrrax and jacked about 12bil, and considering he had the shares well I guess I was SOL! But myself and 47 other Mavericks decided we were not going to call it so easily and asked our good friends in CVA for a little support to help out with the war effort against our current allies (AAA) we were paid an undisclosed sum of isk and fought the good fight for all that was good and drunk, but ultimately the drama at the end of IAC's operational life is pretty public knowledge so I think you all know who owns Catch now!
Anyways we found ourselves on short end of the stick when we were snubbed by our longtime friends in CVA and decided to join the "Greater BoB Community" and help out with the establishment of a new "project" known as Pupule Ohana which lasted only a short while with myself giving an alliance presentation for HUHU at the Fanfest's 2008 alliance panel (watch the video!). Ultimately it was decided that the project's resources would be better used towards putting the good corps in other GBC alliances and we were shifted to SCA where we had a good time with fellow IT corp ANZA and where we chilled out and had a good time. But ultimately we had another job to help our friends out with another project and helped out The Muppet Factory and friends in the ill-fated PuPPeT MasTerS alliance and it's assault on Fountain which ended on a low key note.
At this point needless to say we had some people who have had enough rolling hard and playing hard, and decided they wanted the easy street of sucking off some other digital leader for the promise of "epic pew" or whatever half-baked ideals they spewed when they bailed out when the chips were down. So we wished them well, and focused on our main goals - having fun and killing lots of people. Some of our friends in ATLAS hit us up for a party as they were looking for some hot chicks...well...they didn't get that but they did get hot ****s who laid it on nice and thick.
Atlas was a wonderland of pvp, and we did quite a bit helping establish that empire of the east you see on the influence map today. But due to some emotional problems between myself and Bobby Atlas, we decided after a call from our old Flame, Mr. Molle that IT could use our help perhaps a little more than ATLAS could. Needless to say Bobby wasn't pleased and decided to let me know so leaving my Super Carrier locked away for 2 months because I was too drunk to move it when he went ballistic so it stayed there until the patch. But it's ok, I love Bobby and all of the guys and gals at ATLAS so its all good! 
IT has always been and will be our final destination, our long search for a Home over - also probably the only alliance that doesn't want me dead or in bed with them so I think we'll be sexy right over here. We like it down here, it all floats! To all of the people who have been with -MVN- from the start I cannot thank you enough for sticking with us through all the thick and thin, and its because of you I do what I do. To those who left us when the chips were down - I hope you are enjoying yourselves, because you aren't more than me! And to those who we've fought with and against over the years, we'll be seeing you!

It has been a pleasure flying with MAVERICK CORP 2.0 for more than two years now.
Being a group with origins predating their involvement in Eve, I started as a true outsider. With many of the original members having "MV" in their names, at first it felt like I had joined KIA Corp or something, but I soon felt like a part of the family.
When I came aboard the original Maverick corporation, they had thankfully spared me the humiliation of being associated with Sylph Alliance by leaving it 3 weeks prior. For this, at least, I shall remain eternally grateful.
If there is one thing you have to give this corp, it's that we generally haven't picked the "safe" alliances to join when evaluating our options.
Our history since reforming the corp:
IAC was being devoured by -A- when we signed up. We turned down membership in three of the local Providence holder alliances to take a risk and move into an ongoing conflict that had every sign of going downhill. It was a great experience and we met some remarkable players.
HUHU was an opportunity participate in MAX and we turned down membership in an alliance Avi had wanted to join since before I even had an Eve account to do so. On the bright side, this decision allowed us to start roaming Providence and quickly reach -10 in Amarr lowsec for the first time.
SCA tried to remove Goons + UNL from a region out of jump range from friendly space, without any help from BoB or the other GBC alliances. We could have opted for one of several alliances that, at that time, already owned their own space and had no real challenges at home.
PMS... well... I admit we never would been part of their invasion if the alliance leadership hadn't pulled a bait & switch on us, but we didn't want to bail on our friends so we gave it a shot at least. I think many other corps would have walked out when they were told the new plan was to invade Fountain in early 2009.
ATLAS brought crazy capital numbers (with an insane overall alliance participation level) and poop-socked through more towers than any group of human beings should ever have to. Other options at the time were safe but boring. During our membership, Atlas rose to take its place among the superpowers of Eve and has since only strengthened its hegemony by adding new renters and friendly alliances in unused, recently-conquered regions. Leaving Atlas was a very tough decision with a major split in corp opinion, but when in doubt we always opt for the more exciting option and Atlas's great battles were behind it for the foreseeable future so we took Molle up on his offer.
IT has defied all odds and prevailed over entrenched opponents across multiple regions of space. We left one of the strongest alliances in the game and made a gamble. Luckily IT paid off.

I thank all of you for posting your well wishes, I really appreciate it, there will be more rants and soundboards - especially as this most recent campaign keeps rolling. If you know me these things never stop! It's a fixture wherever I go, Alcohol and rants!

DAMN i was off when this happen.
o well,
I got into -MVN- last year
What i did here?
A. Had lots of fun,
got my first DREAD killed by friends,
turned into pirate,
gave up on pirating,
i even mined (OMG),
saw masters in scam, bullying and local smack,
goons petition one of our guys due smack in local,
kills, kills and kills (not that im competent in that),
saw AVI giving infinite lectures,
"DONT LOSE RATTING SHIPS"
"I WANT NUMBERS"
THX boys, providing me the best moments in eve.
I must end with a lovelly phrase.
