Hello all. I currently have two accounts, one an Amarr combat based pilot about to head into level 4 missions and another which I just bought a few days ago. Currently he is learning his learning skills but after that I was looking at what sorta possibilities I could do with him mostly in tandem with my combat pilot. I am fairly new to EVE (around 2 month mark) so I don't know much about the details of what each ship class does but I have a fair idea.
I am looking for ideas of what I might do with my alt account, I guess I'll have DPS covered with my mains account (working on getting Apoc > Paladin > Nightmare?) so I guess one idea would be dedicated hauler (from all loot salvage to trade hub kinda thing) with skills in trading. Maybe a support role (Logistic ships repair while in combat?) so it could open up more PVE wise. I pretty much know mostly about missioning which is easy to understand, there is a whole lot I have no idea about I guess and was hoping I could get some ideas in.
Anything would be great.

If you like missioning you could always shoot for dual boxing 5's. Rattlesnake+Nightmare would be a great combo for amarr 5's (although I don't think amarr have any lvl 5 agents that give highsec lvl 5's)
You could also just do two 4's at the same time.
Another thought would be a industry or research character who fly some dedicated salvage boat (hurricanes work well for this)
If you want to do exploration you could have a covert ops hacking salvaging analyzer alt.
The sky is the limit (sorta) with what you can do with two accounts.

My second account covers salvaging as I kill, hauling, fleet bonuses, trade skills to lower taxes, refining skills to improve yield, remote repping when required on some of the tougher missions and is now training into drones to help DPS while I salvage/RR.
It's not the most efficient way, but my computer isn't good enough to run 2 separate missions or 2 dps on the same mission effectively.

A Trader/Manufacturing account is good too

another dedicated dps account is always fun
hauler is important too.
reprocessing/manufacturing is good to have, but don't know if I'd bother with that with the supposed changes, won't be anywhere near the amount of minerals.
trade skills are good to have.

I have a leadership alt who initially flew a BC with a a few warfare links and tractors/salvagers. Over time he has maxed all the leadership skills (11 mill sp's) and extended his skills to fly an Orca. Now he carries a Command ship and a salvage Dessie in the maintenance bay.
With a fully skilled command ship pilot you can have 7 links active with 3 of them giving the maximum bonuses which are 25.875% if the appropriate mindlink is fitted. A T3 will give you over 28%
This equates to increasing fitted modules from T2 to officer on all ships in the fleet.
Having a second DPS ship will result in faster missions but you also have far more micro management to cope with. The Command ship just gets plonked at a safe and activated. After the mission just warp in the Orca and clean up with the 70km tractors and cargo capacity.
The Orca with warfare links will boost any mining you or your future corp mates do.

alt roles for missioning
Logistics, Ewar, Salvaging.
I pick 2 of those depending on the mission. I also have covert ops for cloaking between waves/spawns. I dont bother with anything but the protoype cloaker in the high slot for missions tho. Just enough to not get targeted so that I dont have to tank. This is clearly a signature. |

I trained my first alt into an orca to offers mission clean up and leadership support.
I shared standings with him for all my missions, and after awhile he has gotten standings to run his own L4s. So I trained him into a CNR and now I run 2 missions at once.
