Is there an easier way of locating Ice Fields then just flying to every asteroid belt in a system manually? There does not seem to be much information on Ice Fields on either the Forums or Eve-Online, and hardly any on locating them. I suspect this is because when people do randomly come across one, they tend to hoard their little secret to themselves - which is totally understandable. However, it tends to defeat the purpose of this form of mining being available to everyone when it is so difficult to locate them.
Also - whatever happend to the Gas Fields we were supposed to be able to mine, and comets??

You don't need to fly to every belt to find ice fields. Just right click somewhere on an empty portion of the screen while in space, it'll bring up a menu - one item of which will be "Asteroid Belts". Moving to this, will show a list of belts in the system. If there is an ice field, it will be shown there as such. There are a few in most constellations, it shouldn't take you long to find one. There are at least 3 in Jita I believe for instance.
Gas fields and comet mining have been delayed. Hopefully they will appear in the coming months.

ice fields are listed in the tooltips (top left system nav menu where it lists the normal roid belts only it says Ice field instead). I imagine it should show up on the system info as well with orbit items.
