So, first rule of life is PAY A-FREAKING-TTENTION.
Like I didn't when signing up for classes this summer at my Uni.
When you sign up for classes, make sure to look at the location, so that you don't end up signing
up for a class in PARIS when you live in Chicago, and cannot make the 12 hour commute on a bi-weekly basis.

I believe he does mean Paris, France since the flight time between Chicago to Paris is probably under 12 hours.
If the two classes were combined into one Saturday course then the barriers would mostly be the cost of the tickets.

The pieces of official paper you exchange your early life for are so not worth it. You won't get that awesome job making zillions a year unless you have an insider to get you into the top levels of a company anyways. ffs I know faaaaaaar too many people with half a million dollar educations eaking by on service sector oriented jobs becuae they simply can't find a job that they are qualified for that isn't already taken by the last generations nepotism..

Well I could drop out now, try to get a job without any college education in a country with over 10% unemployment and a major recession, or I can go to school for free over these next few years (yes free, I love scholarships) and get cheap food and a place to live. Four years from now I think the economy will be doing a little better... Plus I major in Physics... Not like there's a whole lot of us around... One of the rarest majors in the country. Although I probably will need to get my doctorate....

Heh sorry for the 'bitter' poast. It's just I see so many kids going to uni to make a nice future for themselves and getting themselves neck deep in debt that will follow them for decades. But yes if you have access to free higher education then by all means go for it as even if it doesn't land you a nice job you still are a better and moar versatile person because of it.
