We all know here how beautiful Eve is both aesthetically and violently. And ever since Clear Skies, there has been a bit of an upsurge in the movies that have been made. But, they have all be in disparate places, scattered all over the net. I have started a YouTube Channel, hoping that you will all pick up on the idea of having videos in regards to Eve Online located all in one place.
Im not talking about FRAPs Captures of Battles, I mean well thought out, edited and well made videos such as these:

I know there are no movies there at the moment. 
1. The channel only got made today.
2. I need people to get involved and start making some movies, sending them to me so I can post them up on the channel.
3. Ive never made a movie for EVE myself, dont know the first thing, but, I will be learning.

Okay...I have one of the CCP eye Candy vids up...all credit where due is given. Im gonna upload the trailers too all in their own special play list so we can see how CCP does it. I may even start running a competition giving away from game time. Ive not decided yet. That would cost me money that I dont have alot of at the moment.

Thanks. IF you have a youtube account...if anyone does in fact, dont forget to subscribe to the channel. The more people we get subscribed, the more people will see the channel and the more people will get involved.

Interesting idea! Perhaps next time I make some promotional videos I will try to put a little plot in them and they might qualify to get featured on your channel.

That would be awesome dude. But promotional and eye candy videos are what we are looking for. Cant wait to see some of them.

I do have a quick question as well...
What do you think of the theme and the colours and the background? I spend about an hour getting it to a place that I think feels....EVE'ish.

Well, after the largely positive response I got for my idea, I have done alot of work over the past few hours to expand on it and can now make this official post announcing it.
The EVE Universe will be a community based on presenting the very best aspects of the EVE community, in-particular it will promote user/fan/player created videos to show off the game. As such, we will likely attract alot of attention, so will become a port of call for people interested in the game as a result of these videos.
The hope is to get enough interest that I will eventually be able to run regular competitions with game time up for grabs for competition winners or other interesting things.
We want to make EVE Look good, really good. The CCP Marketing guys have made some really awesome trailers so far, but, I think that we can do better...no? Its time we the community showed them how to really showcase EVE Online to the public at large. To that end, I have started this community and you will find it all at the below link.
Signing up on the website and being active on the forums will entitle you to enter any future contests that I may run with prizes such as 30 or 60 days of play time. The more people I get active in this community, the quicker I can start making contests for you all to compete in.
I look forwards to seeing you all there and hope that you will help to support this endeavor. Any help and support that you want to give is always most welcome. See you around the galaxy!!

Why don't you just download the classics of EVE videos and then repost them all. Like download and reupload Clear Skies 1 and 2. The new recent future proof which is very nice. Day of Darkness II, War Has Come, the old Evol Trailer, [Tortuga] Lacrimosa (the video you linked).
Wondering if you want to include corporation/alliance propaganda. I believe BOB and goonswarm had quite a few of those. Not to mention stuff like outbreak and suches.
Also, my suggestion for a backgroudn is the EVE spaceship chart.
Just some thoughts.

Yes...absolutely. I want to include corp propaganda, corp advertisements for recruitment, machinima and much more. I want it to be the one stop shop for Eve Online videos. Im out tonight and most of today(In coffee shop right now), but I want to get as many vids up there as possible...so, if anyone wants to help with the gathering of videos for me, or even help me run the channel, just let me know.

You're still just talking machinima/propaganda right? that is not pvp vids? If so I would disagree that what you're making is a one stop shop for Eve Online videos :)
I would suggest you contact the makers of the movies before putting them up - they should have the opportunity to decline.

A video can have anything in it, so long as its made with a little bit of quality. No HUD on display, well edited. So yes...there will be videos with PvP on there but they will be of a good quality, rather than just a capture of video using FRAPs and compressed in a poor format.
And yes, I will be asking if I can up them onto the channel before I do so. And I am also accepting people submitting videos to me at: [email protected]
Shameless plug aside...I thought it was a great idea and seems that others do to.

I didnt say that having no HUD on display automatically made a film a good one now did I?
No, I didnt. I already posted examples of the type of films that we want to attract. I just dont want to see raw FRAPs footage. I want something that has had a little effort put into it. If that isnt for you then fine...dont send me any videos...nor snarky comments.

I think what he's trying to say is that there are some really epic, well edited pvp movies that need the HUD to give an insight as to what's going on. So by limiting yourself to non-HUD vids, you are eliminating a large proportion of eve videos that DO show the depth of EVE, just from the point of view of a combat pilot.
