i ve seen that bombs do huge damage and in a big area. Was thinking of using stealth bomber with torpedoes and bombs so i can do huge dmg then disappear.
But got a few questions
1)these ships can use torpedo launchers, can they also use heavy launchers since torpedoes are good but might do low dmg against small ships
2)since the bomb does huge dmg, i ve seen one that destroyed half armor in 1 shot on a cruiser, can it one shot frigates?
3)What happens if you are in the explosion radium of bomb? do you get dmged too?
4)i think i heard that you cant stealth when you are targeted. Is there any modules to jam the enemys target system and is there a possibility the jamming module it wont work?
5)whats the biggest weakness of stealth bombers?
6)whats the best stealth bomber? and if each one is best at something else, what is it that they do best?
7)are there any good high dmg fits?
8)can they speed tank in case you cant stealth?

ye i ve seen that guice. It also said something about kiting a battleship in 20kh, isnt it better to go very close so he wont be able to track you at all?
Also i would prefer some people to answer them because this guide is quite old and i am pretty sure many changes have happened since then

Valadeya keeps his thread up to date. You should really ask there for mor specifics.
I'll try though:
1)No. Bomber gain only fitting benefits for torpedos and can't equip anything other than normal frigs.
2)No and yes. Normally the signature is too low. But when a frig is going mwd you can hit it pretty hard.
3)Yes. See 2) if you mwd -which you must, if you want to catch up to your bomb :)
4) this is true. Ecm could work, though. The mechanics behind e-war are a mystery to me
5) No armor
6)All are basically the same. But each has a different bonus on a specific damage type. The hound valadeya prefers does explosion (or thermal? - at least bane torpedos)damage. Most pve fits do not counter explosion damage good.
7) Three Arbalest Torpedo Launcher and a Bomb Launcher and you win :)
8) yes of course.
..and the reason for the 20k range is, that any closer is futile when the enemy is fitted with webifiers. And it does not matter if you get closer regrding trans. velocity

1) No. The Stealth Bomber only gets fitting bonuses for siege (torpedo) launchers. HAM and HML won't fit on the SB's frigate sized grid.
2) Depends. If a frigate doesn't have any defense and has its MWD on (larger sig radius), then there is a good chance that it will pop.
3) Not only could you get damaged, you could die. Be sure to have your MWD off when you launch the bomb.
4) Yes, once you are fully targeted by someone you cannot cloak. You COULD use ECM mods jam the offending ship, but that's usually a futile effort as you don't have the bonuses or signal strength to do it effectively. Better to use Remote Sensor Dampeners or just GTFO if you can.
5) It has the tank of wet tissue paper and just breathing on it can make it pop.
6) All the Stealth Bombers are pretty much equal. The Hound is a Minmitar ship so it's generally more agile than the others.
7) They are all pretty much fit the same.

Aside from the MWD, play around with the medium slots and rigs according to your taste.
8) Barely. Most T1 frigates are faster than you. Interceptors mean death. You're better off trying to get out of point range and warping off.

And watch out for light drones, especially warrior II's are deadly. Basically watch out for everything small/antifrig
I like to post too, but sometimes i don't know what to say. So i just post something random like this post. But on the other hand, it might just all be a large signature. |
