On page 49 of the russian thread on this topic, the moderator seems to have removed fraps of the "invisibility" technique.
The way I understood it, is that the removal of the link was due to the link showing an exploit.

Edit: My comment may have been a bit premature so it has now dissolved into thin air. |

Originally by: Grath Telkin ...I have never encountered anyone "hiding" in local. In 0.0, and i have been there a bit. So i would be thrilled to know how you accomplish such a feat within the legal game mechanics...
...By your own words, you've NEVER encountered someone hiding in 0.0 local, and yet, Monkey, has somehow magically kept this to himself for THREE YEARS...
You do remember the POS exploit, right? That was used by a certain group of people for quite a long time.
One thing is for sure: If there is any technique that prevents a player from appearing in local (not counting wormholes ofc) then it IS an exploit.
Regardless if monkeysphere has been using any such exploit, if it exists it needs to be fixed.

Originally by: lookatzebirdie ...I had been following this thread, eating popcorn, laughing my ass off and engaging in a bit of trolling (sorry) but this is now actually quite disturbing. I honestly think we cannot say who has or hasn't used this exploit, only CCP can confirm that (Ihope) but we now definitely know that the exploit is real.. that's not good...
Not good at all.
Big thanks to Huhuhuhu for spending his time bringing this to light. Someone like him should be on CCPs payroll.
To those still having a laugh about this exploit - you are a disgrace to this game.

Second part of video by Ellatan.
Seriously will someone post a video of monkeysphere actually doing this or some other proof. Just because there is an exploit doesnt mean he has used it.
If you reread the OP you will find that the question the OP asked was if what happened to him could have been due to an exploit. The answer to that is yes, as per the proof that has been provided.
Everything else is speculation.

Originally by: Ellatan Deruimte First internet media mention, hopefully it will bring more attention to the problem and get it fixed sooner.
Nice article. But give CCP a little break here. The exploit has just been proven so obviously CCP does not have a fix ready right away. I am pretty sure they are working on it.

Originally by: The Monkeysphere Maybe the reason their logs had the correct times of me entering local and the reason I'm not banned was because I always did enter local the second I logged/jumped in?

To me, the important thing is that CCP fixes the local exploit. If you did not use it, that's cool, but it obviously exists.
Actually if you did not use this exploit and neither anyone else in PL, then I guess it is in your interest as well that CCP investigates and finds a solution.

Originally by: Grath Telkin Its easy to find out who used it, they've openly fraps'd themselves purposely hacking the SiSi client, and then posted the evidence in this thread.
Pretty sure thats a clear cut case.
Don't be silly. Part of bughunting is reproducing the bug. You should thank huhuhu for his efforts.
That is IF you are realy intersted in exploits not being abused on TQ.
