Alar Auditore	Posted - 2010.04.20 21:57:00 - [1] Hey everyone. So call me a carebear but I love having positive standings with all 4 of the factions I truly do. I am not scared of PvP so not a true carebear but I will get to the point. So my Amarr, Gallente, Min and Cal standings are all pretty decent however I wanted to start raising my Khanid Kingdom standings as well. I looked over their systems and have noticed that the Gallente, or Minmatar do not have stations or agents located there. I checked google and did a manual search but yeah. So basically, is there a way I can raise my standing towards them without going against Gallente, Amarr or Caldari? Or if I just do Amarr missions they will raise their standings towards me? Thanks for the help!
In Hiding Amarr Moon Humpers	Posted - 2010.04.20 22:36:00 - [2] http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Data_Centers If you do the three area's basic courier missions you'll gain some easy Khanid --NOTE:-- These are percentage based, so you'll get more gain if you already have 4.0 standings than you will with 2.0 standings.

Standings gains are calculated as a percentage of the difference between your standings and 10.0. so your increases actually get smaller as you get higher.

So if I am reading this right then I would do missions for Amarr and as long as I dont kill any faction ships my standings wont go down all that much. So for example I did 10 storyline missions for Amarr but did not kill any faction ships. Then I did 10 story line missions for Gallente but did not kill any faction ships then I would actually then have gains for both sides correct? Granted it would take a long time before I would be able to raise them but then technically it would be possible. Or again, am I readying everything wrong
Tarasse	Posted - 2010.04.21 15:53:00 - [7] Maybe I'm wrong, but I tried this calc before, and here are my results : -If you do 10 storylines for Gallente and 10 for Caldari (or Minmatar and Amarr) (assuming they give the same amount of standing), you will gain standing with Amarr, Caldari, Minmatar and Gallente. -If you do 10 storylines for Gallente and 10 for Amarr (or Caldari and Minmatar), your standings will be the same as they were before you did. AFAIK, when your Gallente standing is increased +1, your Minmatar's +0.5, Caldari -0.5 and Amarr -0.25. Everything I said before takes that in account. So if it's wrong, the whole thing is too.

Thanks for the help! You will always lose gallante/minmatar standing if you gain khanid standing. The only way you gain faction standing is by storyline, and anyone who will give you khanid standing, is negative to gallante. That said, just doing missions for a khanid corp will do it for you, there are plenty of hs agents, and when you get your story line, it will give you khanid standings. As well, it actually should lose you less standing with gallante/minmatar since khanid faction has less negative standings with them than the major factions (caldari/amarr) do. If you really want to avoid trashing standings, make sure to refuse any mission where the opposing forse is Gallante/Minmatar, stick to drone/merc/pirate missions. hope that helps. --- im not paranoid, they really are trying to have my stuff.
