What is the max I should pay on the market to purchase the Diamond tag for the bonus room? More specifically, how much would you say the bonus room, alone, is worth?
I've run this many times before but for some reason I sold my tag :X.

I know the tag is reusable, but now that I live in Amarr space I rarely get the mission. So, for me, I have to justify the purchase based on a one-time run. I ended up paying 2.1 mil. for it. Even if the bonus room isn't that much of a win with isk, it's not that big of a loss at all.

Not only it's reusable, you can also get it to drop off other missions so you don't have to buy it.
I bought my first tag... just in time to see it drop elsewhere and now I have 4-5 of them.

Lemme try....
The tag is reusable. That means you can buy it, use it for ever and ever and ever, then if one drops from a mission you can re-sell the one you bought and it's like you never spent any isk in the first place.

It was a mil or two the last time I bought one sometime in the summer of '09. Considering there is undoubtedly more than a mil worth of battleships in the bonus pocket, I am certain the cost is not really going to end up being an issue.

You run missions well enough to at least be able to complete the bonus room.

WTF is up with the reusable ****? He knows its reusable, he doesn't mention it being a consumable, wtf?
What really gets me is that OP claims to have run bonus room before with his own tag, but now doesn't know that there are phat bounties to be had there that would more than offset the one time cost of a 1M tag.

Two things:
1) In the time it took to make this post, you could have made enough isk to buy the Diamond tag. Seriously.
2) The bonus room is somewhat overrated in terms of making isk.

If I'm not mistaken, the bonus room is worth around 10 million ISK in bounty just for the ships. I think I paid about 5-6 million for my first diamond tag. I've gotten that mission numerous times in Amarr space, so I think it's worth getting another one. However, the bonus room does take an extra 10-15 minutes to run normally, so if you're blitzing for the LP you might want to skip it.

UPDATE:
I ended up buying the tag for 2.2 mil. I ran the bonus room, ended up having to overheat my mids in order not to warp out, but did it in one run. Got plenty of bounties, ended up being more than worth it; about 8 million in bounties minus my 100k repair bill on the modules.
It turns out, the tag was reusable.

Especially if you have done the bonus room before.

If you try to reuse the tag youll spawn 5 carriers 2 dreads and slew of BS - and the scale up if you try to bring friends.
Dont use the tag twice.
