retards like that give pirates a bad name.
In m0o (same goes for RN) if you pay, we dont kill you, youll find that the same with all known respectible pirate corps.
Mororns like this are becoming more and more common unfortunatley -----

What is wrong with just wanting to blow stuff up ?
That is just as valid a gameplay choice as any other. There does not need to be any other motivation to kill.

"Pirates" like these give the rest of us a bad name. Pirates as professionals may not have honor, but we do have a code. Things such as this will not be performed by any of the pirates in my corp, rest assured.

Markku, the name of the guy was DeathsDance.
I don't buy the stipulation that pirates don't have honor.. Even in history there were real life pirates who had honor, this is recorded history. Piracy while not condoned by the general populace is a fact of our history. While some were down and out cut-throats,there were some who had a code and lived by it. That, I would define as having honor, however loosely you want to view it. Lastly, by some of the responses here in this thread, you can read that there are several Real Pirates in Eve who have honor or a code. And, there are those who don't, those who don't are simply Griefer wannabe pirates and they don't belong in any game until they get a clue and some maturity.

umm cuz he tried to ransom someone - that makes him a "pirate" ... come on now - think ...
and Shade Widow or watever ur name is - i'm a - well i was an honorable pirate - if the person payed the ransom they left with their shipeasy as that - and i didn't attack players in n00b - if they didn't then they lost their ship - ships for some strange reason

In my days of pirating (oh how I miss them) I would always offer a ransom for the ship. The couple of times that I was paid, the victim was always let go. Unfortunatley the only people who ever paid the ransom were 1 BS pilot and a cruiser pilot. The rest were all killed and podded.
There are honorable pirates out there. But if you dont pay the ransom, you have no chance of escape.

While pirating in empire, there were a few times that the ship paid and was then destoyed due to accident. Every time, bar one, I refunded the money paid. The sole exception was due to someone losing an apoc to a corpmate attempting to kill me, who mistargeted his torpedos.
Most pirates who attempt to make isk at the profession are in fact quite honorable, because it rapidly becomes impossible for them to get any tolls if they are not.

There needs to be a built in ransom/honor system for this... so you know whether you're talking to an honorable or dishonorable pirate. That will weed out the bad apples and let piracy work again, like it should. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Well lets face it, after 7 weeks you shud still be flying an osprey or something. It's a jungle out there and you sometimes need to learn the hard way. Believe me what you lost is no big deal so please stop whining on the forums and get on with enjoying the wonderful world of EVE,

Dont be a dumbass. Someone was a ***** and didnt respect his tolls, and this is what he gets. He gets to have his name associated with dishonor, which will severely impact his ability to collect future tolls.
There is nothing wrong with naming people who do that. Thats half the reason this forum exists.
