It is unfortunate that new traders often get the cold shoulder these days, because so many scammers are ruining the market.

Originally by: Taigatoo It is unfortunate that new traders often get the cold shoulder these days, because they don't take the time to do a proper offering writeup and fully disclose things like alts, NAV, reasons for current nav, etc in their offering and continue to ask for 3.5-4x their NAV and 2-3x the "plex value" of their character in offerings which are both generally seen as huge red flags.
Fixed it for you.

Always a pleasure to have a dose of Taram's optimism and positivity in the thread
Had a longish convo with Varo today about contract trading, and whilst it had not cropped up at all as a topic in the offering, I had assumed investors would assume a trade bond would be all kinds of trade. I hope doesnt put any noses out of joint, good news is I need 34 mil a week for the bond interest, but made about 65mil today contract trading. Small beer for MD I know but it cheered me up!

Just being honest Kalni. I didn't pull out because of anything in your offering, or even due to the audit. I actually did have some serious expenses come up suddenly (carrier purchase...cap skillbook purchases.... etc) but the bottom line is that your writeup, and many like it recently, is not really sufficient for asking for 2bil in public funds. That you got the money is irrelevent. It raises eyebrows when such sketchy bonds are written and causes bonds to take longer to fill than they otherwise would, and causes a lot more 'flaming' than it would if the bond was written properly from the start.
Look at Rykker's Bonds. Raw23's bonds when he was fairly new. Machette's bond, etc.
That's how a bond offering should look and it should include NAV, alts involved in the bond, explanation of current nav and a high level overview of what the ipo/bond will be doing with the isk.
Nothing against you, I wish you the best in your bond. I'm just pointing out things that Bond Owners should be posting to start with. The post I replied to was trying to imply that MD was being hard on you just because you are new. I was pointing out that he's wrong. Nobody flames people *just* because they're a new face. Generally poorly written ipos/bonds will set the community off a lot more than just being new.

My post wasn't trying to imply anything exclusively, merely stating that new traders face more difficulties with offerings and that it is related to scammers.
Does this apply to older, more established traders? Yes. Is it only because of scammers? No. Could Kalni's offering have been written better? Absolutely.
Sorry for derailing the thread a little, just felt that a correction was needed.
Thanks.

Edited by: Hinata on 11/05/2010 15:43:54 So many trolls/stupid people in this thread it seems Don't like it move on to another offering, as for me 700m or 2b even is peanuts so it can't hurt to speculate on new traders if I get scammed welp but that is life.
Kalni: I will fill the remaining 400m of your bond the ISK has been send for the last 400 bonds

Clearly I'm making good profit on trading, but sadly the contact orders do not benefit from margin trading skill.
At the end of this month I would like to do two things, edge down the interest rate i.e. refinance, and second extend my bond.
Here's how I will work this...
1. First months interest has been paid early as of today (i.e. day 19 of 28)
Tenatz 200 (17) Pippgirl 200 (17) max ikabon 100 (8.5) Lashka Gar 100 (8.5) Bobby BooShae 100 (8.5) Taigatoo 200 (17) Hinata 1100 (93.5)
2. At the end of the month I will close out 50% of the bond returning that capital to investors (bond debt drops to 1bil)
3. I'll open reservations from now with priority to current investors (initially the option to reinvest the same amount) on up to 2 bil of bond debt at 7%

First months results (NAV to date).
Expenditure
30 day PLEX (-320mil)
Assets
Total asset value 4.7 bil
Liabilities
Bond capital (-2 bil) @ 8.5% / month Current interest liability 0 (already paid)
NAV at day 19 = 2.7 bil
Profit week 1 = 300 week 2 = 600 week 3 = 700 week 4 (day5) = 700
1 bil of bond capital will be repaid tomorrow 30th (1 day early, its just easier to do these things at the w/e). I will then offer up to 2 bil of additional bond at 7% (i.e an extension of 1 bil on currently)
7% bond reservations 950 mil of 2 bil taken

8% bond - total debt = 900 mil
50% of bond capital repaid today as maturing orders meant I was liquid today. This leaves the following investors holding the following amounts of 8% yield bond. This will continue to be paid over (up to) the maximum 12 week term as initially indicated.
If any on the original investors want to add 100mil to their holding round it off to a bil that would satisfy my OCD
Tenatz 100 Pippgirl 100 max ikabon 50 Lashka Gar 50 Bobby BooShae 50 Taigatoo 0 (repaid in full as requested) Hinata 550
7% bond - Reservations of 1300 mil against total 2bil available
I'm going to keep this in 100 mil blocks for ease.
Lashka Gar 400 Hinata 500 Pippgirl 200 Daisuke Aoki 200
Can investors (reservists or new) please send isk when they are ready.
