Hi there,
i have trouble selling spirits in gallente space. Spirits are not listed as illegal here, and there are buy orders at stations. When i arrive there, the stations decline to take the goods because they say the are illegal ...
Is this a bug?
Any idea how to get back my money - its too much alcohol to dring myself ...

I had the same problem in the Essence region. The surrounding regions will let you sell them, just stay clear of Aammarr, Anmattar and Khanid, where customs will confiscate them. Near Essence you can sell them in The Citadel but prices are low. I sold mine in whatever region Pettinck (not sure about spelling) is in for a good profit. I'm not going to touch anymore contraband though, it all seems bugged in one way or another.

Guess its no bug; check the stations you tried to sell to ... maybe amarr right did apply there, because the corp was amarr ???
Found that out starting to empty some of the bottles ...

Oh I do agree that it's a bug. Spirits are legal in Gallente space so there shouldn't be a problem. It was the Essence region in particular that caused me issues. I'd be very careful with anything that has a legality tab on it for a while, at least you didn't get ganked by Customs.

It is an Amarr station, but if trading in the station is illegal, then why is there a huge buy order for it there? As far as I know, the contraband tag only applies to transporting the goods.

I just tried to sell some ectoplasm in bleak lands region to fill a buy order at one of the stations. They wouldn't accept it and fined me 21 mill isk. Now i have 20,000 ectoplasm i cant sell and -17 mill isk in the bank.

Update....
Got fined another 21 mill trying to take the goods to another system. Bank balance now at -39 mill. 
WTS character. Slight financial problems....Comes with ship and a lifetime supply of ectoplasm.
