Im trying to find a good solo 0.0 fit ( if its possible in an Arazu ). Id prefer to have people respond that have actual pvp experience with the fits they suggest rather than strictly EFTing a fit. thanks

its damage sucks and its speed isnt great, tank is poor.
its a gang ship.
the only things it could realisticly catch and kill, could be done in far cheaper ships.
heck a bomber might be better to solo in... certinly a crap tonne cheaper. (plus no cloak delay \o/)

Edited by: Mr Blue on 27/04/2010 16:15:31 I have had some nice experince in solo arazu(its quiet a while since I used it tho), however mostly of the time u need the victim to be ratting BS rats, and basicly all u do is lock him down, add some extra dmg and damp him so he cant kill rats/or u. However, 3x250mm rails with faction antimatter(optimal aprox 19k), cloak 10mn AB, warp disruptor t2, warp scrambler t2 damps damps damp(use all range damps scripts) 800mm plate, eanm t2/faction, dcu t2 and a faction small rep t2(just to rep between fights mostly, sometimes u take drone agro/rat dmg after victim is dead and ure looting the cans) damping bonus rigs. 3x hammerhead t2 2 warrior t2
Try to fly around 17-19km. Think most non sensorbooster bs locking range was around 12-14km when dampened. Its quiet a while since i used it so,

Edited by: Liang Nuren on 27/04/2010 17:13:09 I don't know if I've solo killed anything with an arazu bigger than a Hurricane since the damp nerf. If you're gonna try it:
3x 200mm Rail II, Cloak MWD, LSE, TS Scrambler, 3 Phased Muon 3 Overdrives, DC II 2 Damp rigs
The idea is to disable someone's MWD from range and slowly eat them with rails. It's almost not worth releasing drones since they just get smashed anyways. It may also be worth trading a gun for a med neut - but you're dead if someone gets under your damps anyway. Real glass cannon fit.

How about running ECM drones in combo with 2xRSD/scan res scripts ? 40m^3 equals 6.5 ECM points from drones. You can add a mediocre buffer tank with neutrons and magstabs, but it needs a 3% grid implant. Exact fit later ( no EFT on laptop atm ).

We tried it after the damp nerf and it didn't work.

What I did is this :
3x railguns (cant remember 200 or 250), cloak mwd, 3x damps, point, sensor booster/LSE 2x overdrives 2x cap power relay ( to perma shoot, point and damp)
Then you find somebody grinding belts, wait for him to get NPCs on him, damp point shoot ... worked allright

You can definitely solo in an Arazu. It's a decent enough ship and with good skills you can take down BC's with one. I EFT'd this fit, but have yet to fly it. I think it will work but then again it's just on paper and I haven't put it to practice yet. Been too busy flying the Cynabal before it gets nerfed back into oblivion.

How about with the extra multi spec ? Almost 50% extra jamming power. Or 3rd RSD ? Yer probably right though, 53% RSD doesnt compare to the 60+% we used to get.
CCP can we get 7.5% to damps finally its only been about 2+ years now ?

Edited by: Trevor Warps on 27/04/2010 19:27:03 Dont cut tomatoes with a 50 pounds hammer ... or a toothpick should i say.
Arazus are meant to uncloak from falcons/rooks at 60-100km and damp em into useless scrapmetal.
Or 3x range damp a wide orbit inty and watch your friend warp off.
Kinda like ECM with less dice rolling but no ability to deny 4+ targets the ability to lock.
Not all that good but still kinda fun.

I'd say that's a perfect way to use an Arazu really. Anything that can keep your fleet from having 4-6 of their ships turned off effectively is a lifesaver.

The problem is the Arazu can ONLY deal with one other ship if solo, and has to run if something else shows up. With the lower DPS of the arazu it will take time to kill someone, meanwhile they have buddies inbound. Sure the arazu makes the best tackler in the game and with decent drone skills you hold pretty much any ship in the game forever while taking no damage, the problem is with no nuet ability it will just take forever to kill anything the same size or bigger.
But this is how I ran mine. 242 dps you can double the ehp by pulling the overdrive injector for 800 plate. Web and hold from about 20km and you are golden as you have disrupted them down to under 20km at this point. You can also run a MWD instead of the AB. I choose the AB so I could ignore scrams when trying to bail out.

If you want to use the Arazu in solo PvP, low-sec is the best place for it imo. It excels at taking out pirates who aggress defenceless indys or other small ships on gates and can only tank the sentries for so long, especially funny if you find a group of people who like to camp a low-sec to high-sec gate. They engage random badger jumping into low-sec you uncloak, disrupt and damp and wait for them to pop. Extra lols are optional if they decide to jump into high-sec. Keep an eye on your range, and always stay in a position to align quickly if not aligned all the time and warp/cloak if his buddies show up. Similar to Ling's fit, RSD with rails and ECM resistance. _____________________________
