As a Stain Empire battleship pilot, I have the honor of working towards a Priate-free Stain region of the Galaxy. I punk Sansha's boys pretty badly.
With Exodus, however, I decided to get back to Agent missions, to see if they're cooler/more fun/more profitable now. I have been thoroughly disappointed.
I have a level 3 quality 19 agent for the Amarr Navy, and he gives me missions involving 2 frigates for 100,000 isk gain. This is rediculous.
How can I get agent missions that offer some real challenge, and some real reward?
Or should I just return to Stain and kill NPC Battleships for cash and loot? ----------------------------------------------- "The Spartans ask not how many, but where they are." -Agis II of Sparta

I'm in a Caracal, but you still haven't answered my question. Thanks for the input, though, however off-target. ----------------------------------------------- "The Spartans ask not how many, but where they are." -Agis II of Sparta

Edited by: Zrakor on 03/12/2004 15:51:33 Level 4 agent missions would be more suitable for you. Also note that the level 3 mission do vary considerably, and the plan has always been to implement a way for the player to choose harder or easier missions within the same agent level (no ETA on that yet).
However, could you please tell me which level 3 mission is asking you to destroy 2 frigates? I don't know of any such level 3 mission. My best guess would be that you encountered one of the missions where there are waves of pirates, but the first wave is all that shows up in the journal until you destroy it (which is by design).

Actually Zrakor, there is a few lvl 3 mission that includes frigs only...not multiple spawns either.
Avenge a fallen comrade sometimes consists of 2 angel raiders and 1 angel hunter...
Seek & Destroy sometimes spawns only 2 frigates...
Somehow you seem to get better paid for those missions where only frig spawns as well. (I.e where cruiser spawns you get 75k and for the frigs you get 100k+)
...and with the light all life vanished... |

You will be suffciently challenged by level 4 missions. I guarentee it, especially if you attempt to solo them.

the only interesting thing about level4 missions is working out how to do them solo. once youve got that sussed, they become boring real fast. nothing interesting ever drops.
there is the lure of a faction bp's of course, but the insane amount of time you would need to invest to get one, well, a wk of mining and you could buy one when they eventually pop up for auction

after playing eve since the very beginning i can assure you, missions are a waste of time ;)
after making some missions before implants came to universe and realising, that my agent would give me only social implants i suddenly stopped this boring part of eve. i prefer mining or shooting some pirates or npc's for action. ------------------------------- Vice-CEO Chief Production Officer of

You can try lvl 4 agent kill missions "solo", Amira. I can assure you, they could be very challenging. Just one example. 4 Serpentice transports in a 1st wave; 8 'Moa' class cruisers, 8 'Kestel' class frigates and 4 other frigates equipped with webifiers in the 2nd wave; 4 'Moa' cruisers, 8 'Kestel' frigates, 2 webbers and 4 'Raven' class battleships in the 3rd wave. I couldn't kill even one 'Raven' using cruise missiles and large hybrids. Got upset and too close to the pack of 4 Ravens. My Megathron was blown out of the sky in less then a minute.
Good hunting!

wasn't trying to be rude or anything but why would you start off with that as your primary statement if your not flying a BS for missions.
again not trying to be rude but just confused at that statement then.

This is referred to the use of battleships in the Stain region itself; that she uses Cruisers for agent missions in the Amarr Empire is another story.

Agents aren't a waste of time, if they provide you with constant tech2 components, that doesn't sound like a waste to me.

Avenge A Fallen Comrade Mission briefing One of our cruisers went missing a few days ago while on patrol duty in Rens. We are afraid it may have been ambushed or had some sort of accident, but at this stage of the investigation it's impossible to confirm that. I want you to fly over to where it sent its last distress signal, I'll upload the exact coordinates into your NeoCom if you feel up to it. If there is any sign of enemy craft nearby, then destroy them. Report your findings back to me. This mission expires at 2004.12.06 07:33:53 Overview and Objectives The following objectives must be completed to finish the mission: Kill Objective Destroy these targets: These targets have already been destroyed <img:factionlogo:500002>Target LocationRens Target #1one Angel Impaler Target #2one Angel Raider Rewards The following rewards and bonuses will be yours if you complete this mission: 78000 credits. eleven hundred units of Toxic Waste will be awarded to you as a bonus if you complete the mission before 2004.12.05 08:18. 185 Loyalty Points.
