I have been playing around makeing forum sigs and pics for corp mates. If anyone would like one please contact me in game.
some examples:
If you are interested please contact me. Be sure to include dimensions of the sig and a description of what you would like. I'm sorry I cannot draw anything freehand at this time. (Still working to get those skills up), but I can do image manipulation pretty well and will work with you for what you want.

Also Dimitri, I should point out the forum signature rules found here:
"Signature graphics are permitted, but must follow these guidelines: signature graphics that may only contain your character name, corporation logo, corporation or personal slogan or other text that is directly related to your in-game persona, or content directly related to Eve Online. All content must be in good taste.
Additional restrictions are as follows:
■No more than one signature image may be used ■Maximum height: 120 pixels ■Maximum width: 400 pixels ■Maximum file size: 24,000 bytes (not Kbytes)"

wow... thats like.. ancient standards. for the file size. i dont even think you can make an image less than 24kb. *just emphasizing to make a point*
but on topic. your sigs are ok, assuming you are a beginner (but ofc not totally noob), but try to make them more simple, i think that would look a lot better. simpler fonts with single colors (but perhaps layer effects such as outer glow), background pictures with less things going on (like, not a million bright stars in the background for example) and be sure to make the colors compliment eachother and the overall signature. so that would mean not as much/many bright and colorful colors in the image. hue/saturation tool and levels tool is good for this. but keep it up ^^

what?
you can even make some of the REALLY HUGE sigs in the OP less than 24kb, although they'll look horrible. On smaller sigs there won't be a noticeable difference though.
Photoshop > Save for Web > Jpeg > play around with the quality bar til you're as close to 24kb as possible

i know how image compression works, and how large different image types will be, thank you. but with a limit of just 24kb you cannot create a signature with the specified dimensions, without it looking extremely compressed, and hence, bad. you can make any picture take up as little space as you'd like. but that doesnt mean you can make any picture look good with any size. if you want a great signature, you could make a .png formatted signature with full use of colors, blending edges, and use of transparency different places in the image. this can never be done with just 24kb, even with the small size of the allowed dimensions.
tl:dr 24kb is not enough for a good looking signature.
and when i wrote the *just emph....* in the orifinal reply, i was stressing the fact that i know a sig can be compressed to 24kb. it's just gonna butcher the image quality. to a noticable degree.

same sig at 24kb. Can you really tell a difference?
edit: apart from the transparency .. but point is, the actual image quality is otherwise the same to anyone looking. You'd have to zoom right to see the difference, and even then it'd be hard. 24kb limits are so that people still on poor connections (yes, they do exist) don't have to load 1MB+ of data per page just in forum sigs

-my point proven. you cant have nice sigs with only 24kb. (nice being transparent in this case, its what i would use myself) i do realize why they put the limit on, but for once thing, you can choose to disable all sigs from showing in your forum settings. and second, why should the most people have to pay the price for what the fewer people would be affected by - that being if they cant go back into their settings and disable signature showing, which is disabled by default anyway. its not logic to have the majority bothered instead of the minority. also, is there really anyone with a connection fast enough to run eve, but too slow to load a few sigs..? i doubt it. i think the limit is just old and needs to be updated.
if the forums had one background color for posts, it would be fine without real transparency. it would still not be proper transparency, but it would look like it. with different colors, you cant create a forum colored background that works for all posts.
